In Genshin Impact, to the Wise Men is the first chapter of the Neal Legends Quest “Water Lily”. As part of it, you will have to chat with people, collect opinions from theater workers, take part in debates with researchers from the Academy and help artists save the theater. If you're having trouble starting and completing these quests, check out our guide.
How to start the Wise Men Legends quest
The actions of the first episode take place on the territory of Sumeru, so it will not be possible to get access to it immediately. There are three requirements you need to meet first, namely:
- Achieve at least Adventure Rank 40. In a separate post, we've covered how you can increase this stat.
- Complete the Archons quest Morning Brings One Hundred Fresh Roses: The Ending, which is the second chapter of the third volume of the game's main storyline.
- Prepare one Key of Legends by completing 8 daily quests (only 4 such missions can be completed per day). You can keep no more than three keys on you at the same time, so saving them in reserve will not work.
Having dealt with everyone specified conditions, go to the quest log, open the “Legend Quests” tab and select the required character. Then simply unlock access to his quest.
The Warm Beat of the Streets
Chat with Nilu at the Grand Bazaar
Travel to the capital city of Sumeru and then head to the market near the blacksmith. Near the theater, chat with Nilu. She will ask you for help preparing for the celebration.
Get your purchases from Nilu
Head to the shops located nearby to get materials and gifts for the artists. Jut will hand over treats and give you three Padisars, Afshin will give you fabrics and donate faded and edged red silk, and Hu Shan will prepare the props. You will also meet Farhad, who decides to help with the delivery of goods to the theater.
After picking up all the goods, return to the theater. Nilu will go to Zubair to tell about the delivered goods. You will be advised to get to know the members of the troupe for the time being.
Talk to people in the theater
Markers will mark three characters who are currently working in the theater. You will need to communicate with them.
Note: Information about these people will be useful to you in the future. For this reason, we advise you to remember what they say.
From the edge stands Rekhar, a former adventurer who is now raising two children on her own due to the death of her husband. She works with props and helps artists with small errands.
In the center of the stage is Hasani, who works as an art critic and highly appreciates theatrical activity. He is constantly thinking about what exactly art is. At the end, approach a young girl named Inaya, who will be very nervous and will not want to talk to you, pointing out that she is busy because of the props.
Wait for the event to start and discuss everything with Nilu
< p>After talking with the members of the troupe, return to Nile, who will stand nearby and speak with Zubrair. After that, a long cut-scene will begin, in which a scientist from the Academy will interrupt the celebration – he will announce that the theater will be demolished, as the actors allegedly broke the rules more than once.
Approach Neal and ask her about what happened. Paimon will say that you should take part in a debate with scientists to challenge their decision and show them that the theater cannot be closed. This will complete the quest, and you will receive 500 adventure points, 31,125 mora, 7 magical enhancement ore, and 4 books of hero experience.
When plays are no longer staged
Check out the opinions of theater workers< /h3>
First of all, you will need to convene people in order to understand the situation. To do this, talk to Zubrail. After that, Inaya, who is the daughter of Researcher Sharif, will want to tell him about the debate challenge herself.
After the meeting ends, you will need to communicate with the troupe members again to collect their opinion on what happened. Only conversations with Rekhar (any experience is important, even a bad one, and one should not give up), Hasani (art is important as long as it has admirers) and Zubrail (the theater did nothing illegal) are counted.
After talking with the troupe, approach the audience standing nearby and tell them about the possible closure of the theater. Men will note that art is an important occupation and cannot be considered an inferior occupation just because it lacks wisdom. Next, return to the theater, where you will learn about the loss of Inaya.
How to find Inaya by voice
Teleport out of town to find the girl. The required location will be marked with a quest marker – it is located north of the village of Vimara. When you reach the white light, watch a short video. Then you will hear Inaya scream.
Next, you will need to find the girl in four minutes. This can be done using the distance counter displayed under the timer. If you go in the right direction, the number with meters will start to decrease.
Run in the opposite direction from the river, climbing the hill. Almost immediately, in the distance, you will see Inaya surrounded by Rishboland tigers. Run to the predators and defeat them. Then talk to the rescued girl.
What to say to Inaya
You will find out that the girl did not plan to go to her father, but simply decided to leave the troupe, as she considered that this would save the theater from problems. You will need to convince her otherwise. To do this, you need to use the new dialogue system. You will see several response options, but only one of them will move the conversation forward.
In this case, choose the phrase “What thinks Rekhar.” Recall that she told you about the importance of any experience, even negative.
What to answer to Neil
Reach the gates of the Twilight Academy – Inaya will go to her father to challenge him to a verbal duel. At the same time, Nilu will ask you why the theater is needed at all. A menu will appear again with a selection of different options.
First select the option “What do people think in the Grand Bazaar”. After that, a new answer will appear: “The meaning of the existence of the theater.” Submit it as a conclusion. Neela will come to the right conclusion, which will help her in the debate. This will complete the quest. As a reward, you will receive 625 Adventure Points, 38,100 Pestilence, 8 Enchant Magic Ore, and 4 Hero's Books.
The value of unity
Wait for the debate
The event starts in 2 in-game days and will take place after lunch (from 15 :00 to 18:00). You can do other things for now or simply scroll through the time using the Paimon menu. After that, head to the theatre.
Correct answers in the debate
You will need to answer questions on behalf of Neal. You'll need the information you've gleaned from talking to the members of the troupe.
First part of the debate: “In his opinion, the theater doesn't meet the requirements of the Academy. However…”. Correct answer:
- “What people think at the Grand Bazaar” – listen and then choose as a conclusion.
Second part of the debate: “Changed the subject, but I'm well prepared. This can be answered as follows … “. Correct answer:
- “What Hasani Thinks” – listen and then choose as conclusion.
Third part of the debate: “So as he began to talk about procedural things, the emphasis should be on … “. Correct answer:
- “What Zubair thinks” – listen and then choose as conclusion.
The fourth part of the debate: “Get it together, Nilu. The theater is not just a place where different performances are shown…”. Correct Answer:
- “The Purpose of Theatre” – listen and then choose as conclusion.
There will only be one option at the end, “Inaya's Will”. Select it and watch the cut-scene.
Wait two days and talk to Inaya
After the debate is over, talk to Nilu, standing nearby. Then wait two in-game days by scrolling to the evening time (20:00 to 22:00) and return to the theatre. You will see a new cut-scene. At the end, talk to Nilu again, who will give you a mini version of the theater.
The Zubair Theater decorative item can be placed in a teapot of serenity. You will also receive 60 Primogems, 44,350 Mora, 5 Integrity Directions, 8 Enchantment Magic Ore, and 4 Hero Books.
