In Genshin Impact“Weak Signals” is a direct continuation of the quest “Threadlike Whispers” and the second part of the large Children of Echo reputation quest, “Melodious Singing”. In order to fully study the engraving on the firecrystals created by Tlasoli, Shilonen needs to restore the engraving from the phlogiston wedges. This way, the company will understand whether it is necessary to help the mother of the sick Nechka, and whether her experiments will lead to irreversible consequences.

Walkthrough of the mission “Weak Signals”
The continuation of the quest chain “Melodious Singing” – “Weak Signals” – can be started if the following conditions are met:
- Complete the story quest “Rainbow Doomed to Burn”;
- Complete the previous chapters of the Chronicles of the Tribe, including the first stage of Chapter III – “Threadlike Whispers”.

Return to Shilonen's Workshop
Before learning the Tlasoli Engraving Technique and making sure it's safe, Shilonen needs to stop by her workshop and pick up some supplies. Head to her workbench on the southern half of Echo Children's Gorge.
Shilonen's workshop is filled with books, which are an important part of the work of an engraver of ancient names. The girl reads a lot, because she must properly study the legends of heroes and accurately convey their stories, on the basis of which stones with names are created. After telling a little about her duties, Shilonen finds a phlogiston wedge in the house and hurries to begin research.
Help Shilonen study firecrystal engraving
Move to the Pyro Archon statue in the west of the tribe and approach the nearest edge of the cliff – here the company will decipher the central inscription on the Tlasoli engraving. In order to decipher the blessing on Nechka's firecrystal, Shilonen must draw a diagram on the cliff and ensure free movement of the phlogiston flow between the wedges.
After gaining control of the heroine, use her E-key and move along the rock, joining the activated phlogiston wedges. The video below shows how to do this:

Talk to Tlasoli in her house
Return to the former blacksmith's house, located south of settlements of the Children of Echoes, and find out what decisions Shilonen made regarding helping Tlasoli.
Shilonen is aware of all the risks, but cannot refuse the grief-stricken aunt. The girl has several conditions: all extracted fragments of memory must concern only Nechka, the technology must be completely disabled after the ritual, and Tlasoli must personally tell the chief about all this. During the conversation, Nechka comes out to the guests, and the whole company persuades the mother to take the child for a walk in the settlement and deliver stones with inscriptions.
Take the engraving on the firecrystal to Iknal
Move to the Children of Echo reputation obelisk and go left to Iknal's workplace. Tlasoli returns the firecrystal with the engraving to her friend and gets carried away by the story about the child's health, and the Traveler and Paimon manage to discuss with Nechka the fairy tale “Tequila of the Brave” that she gave him.
Take the engraving on the firecrystal to Aposhpalon
Now you need to take the crystal with the inscription to Aposhpalon – the man runs his own workshop in the recess to the right of the obelisk of reputation. In gratitude for Tlasoli's work, Aposhpalon offers to pick out a gift for the little birthday girl, and Shilonen persuades her aunt to help her with the choice. At this time, the heroes again talk to the girl about the content of the fairy tale, learning along the way that Nechka knows the old ending from somewhere.
Take the engraving on the firecrystal to Chiven
It remains to take the special decoration to the owner of the jewelry store, Chiven. Move to the east and go down to the lower tier – here is the workshop of “Muhuru Gems”. During the dialogue, the heroes increasingly pay attention to the worried Nechka, but Tlasoli scolds the child and says that they need to urgently return home.
Return to Tlasoli's house
A serious conversation ensues in front of Tlasoli's house, during which it is revealed that that Nechka has no memory lapses. Shilonen, talking about the dangers of the experiment, tries to get the truth from Auntie, but she only shuts the child's mouth and runs away through a secret passage in her own house. There, the heroes find firecrystals hidden in the wall and go in search of the criminal.
The task is coming to an end, and we get 500 adventure experience points, 44 thousand mora, some ore and purple experience books. The next stage of the quest chain is “Cacophony of Groans”.
