In Wuthering Waves, the quest “When the Forest is No Longer Dim” is a research task . As part of its implementation, you will have to save the life of one of the academy’s scientists, as well as rid one of the areas from pollution that is dangerous for all creatures located there. Find the source of the distress signal
Go to the square in front of Huaxu Academy. Start a conversation with the worried scientist standing there to get information about his colleagues in trouble.
Move to the Forbidden Forest, where the distress signal came from. At the indicated point you will find a camp captured by the Exiles. Deal with them all.
After the battle is over, approach the cage in which the scientist Qiaomu is locked. She will tell you how to find the key.
The key lies in the cylindrical structure to the left of the cell. Return to the scientist to free her.
Enter the Contaminated Zone
Qiaomu will ask you to find her delayed colleague – Senmin. Travel to the Resonance Nexus located south of the camp. From there you can go to the contaminated zone around the Giant Banyan.
While in a contaminated area, carefully monitor the poisoning level above the HP scale. As soon as it reaches the maximum value, the study will be interrupted.
Find Senming
After talking with Qiaomu at the border of the contaminated area, activate the sensor.
Golden lines will appear in the marked area. Follow them and they will lead you to useful clues.
You will eventually come across an unconscious Senming. Pick up the girl, after which you will automatically return to Qiaom.
Destroy the cores
After talking to Qiaomu, you will decide to destroy the nuclei poisoning the area. To do this, you will have to visit three contaminated zones one by one. It is worth noting that the clearings around these places will not poison your heroes.
The process of destroying the cores will be as follows. Talk to Qiaomu to have her place several drones in the clearing around the core. Your task is to hit the devices in the correct order, thus directing sound waves between them. The easiest way to do this is to use any hero who wields pistols, so that you can attack from afar and not run from place to place. You can also talk to the researcher after the test starts to look at the entire structure from above.

Contaminated Zone 1
The first zone is located south of the Giant Banyan.

Go to the center of the clearing, where, in addition to the core sample, you can also pick up a chest.< /p>

On the way to the next core, examine the bodies of animals affected by toxic spores. At the last point, you will also have to fight a pack of aggressive primates.
The next core is located northeast of the Giant Banyan.
In the picture, the character is standing to the left of Qiaomu and Huhu, completely opposite the first device. The order of activation of drones is as follows:
- Drone 1: 1 time.
- Drone 2 (located one device away from drone 1): 1 time.
- Drone 3: 1 time
- Drone 4: 2 times
- Drone 5: 1 time
Note that one of the placed drones will not be used during settings. After completing the puzzle, don't forget to pick up the core samples and the chest.
Contaminated Area 3
Before moving on to the final core, head to Senmin's camp to see how the antibody creation is progressing. To help the researchers, you will have to collect three ingredients in a certain order in the laboratory. They are all located in close proximity to the main table and are marked with quest markers.
Then move to the Resonance Chain and follow Huhu. Save your friend from the monsters attacking him.
After the battle, run towards the Purple Banyan, where you will find the third core.

Go to the abandoned institute
To continue your exploration, head to the south of Wenye Beach to find an abandoned institute there. Before you move on to setting up the equipment, you will need to destroy several monsters living there.

Rewind time to tomorrow to 17: 00-19:00 and return to the explorer camp. After the conversation, you can proceed to the final part of the quest.
Move closer to the Giant Banyan Tree. After talking with Qiaomu, you will need to climb to the top of the tree. Wooden platforms around the trunk and bouncy mushrooms will help you with this.
When you get to the top, two monsters will attack you. Deal with them. After the victory and the cut-scene, do not forget to pick up the chest that appears.
Return to the researchers waiting at the Resonance Chain. Talk to them to complete the quest.
