After leaving the hall with the altar, you find yourself on winding paths from the eastern temple. Here begins the next mystery of Silent Hill f – the search for three ema tablets, small wooden tablets with images of hieroglyphs and drawings, behind which are hidden clues to the castle from the Treasury. At first glance, they are just decorative souvenirs, but it is on them that the code to the massive door leading deeper into the temple complex is encrypted.
Everything is complicated by the fact that the necessary tablets are hidden among dozens of identical ones, and the path to them lies through areas with enemies. At the same time, not only the pictures change at different difficulties, but also the logic of the hints itself. In this guide you will find an exact description of where to look for each ema and what code must be entered into the lock.
Searching for ema tablets
At the very beginning you receive the task “Find the correct ema tablet”. Your goal is to findthree unique emas that differ in design from the rest. All other boards have repeating patterns, so pay attention to the details.
How to interact
- Go to the rack with planks
- Aim at the desired one with the Q key to take a closer look
- Press F to turn it over and see the symbol on back
If the symbol on the tablet is correct, Hinako will comment on the find and it will be added to the journal.
Where to look for ema
Hinako will mark the search locations for all the tablets on her map with a special symbol. After you search the ema stand and find the one you need, the mark will disappear from the map. On the Lost in the Mist difficulty, after repeatedly choosing the wrong tablet, the chained monster will respawn and try to attack Hinako again.
If you suddenly do not find a tablet with the required image in the desired area, try looking for other images. Sometimes the game changes the em's location.
On one of the ema stands you can find a prominent plaque with the image of a red cat – behind it lies an omamori cat.
For each difficulty level you need to look for your own images that correspond to the clue poem, which you can look at in Hinako's diary.
Plot
- Crane
- Snake
- Turtle
Complex
- Lightning over the sea
- Withered tree
- Kudzu
Lost in the Fog
- Yokai of the cart
- Yokai of the umbrella
- Yokai of the teapot
At this level of difficulty, the game adds it even more, because you not only need to find the right tablet and fight off the aggressive monster, but also understand at least a little Japanese folklore if you decide to go through it on your own.
Once all three ema are collected, Hinako will mark the signs on the back of them in a journal. Now you can return to the Treasury – a massive locked door near the eastern temple.
How to open the Treasury lock
At the door, insert the found part of the lock, which is automatically sent to the inventory after finding one of the tablets.
Now you need to place three symbols in the correct sequence from top to bottom.
