In Genshin Impact the world quest “Old Friends and New Knowledge” is part of the Witches Lessons series and provides access to Albedo’s Witchcraft buff. In this material we will look at how to start the quest and share with the alchemist the moment of receiving a message from Reindottir.
Completing the quest “Lessons of Witches: Questions Beyond Questions” (Old Friends and New Knowledge)
The quest to unlock Albedo's buff will be available for completion after “An Unexpected Assignment”, available through the events tab – as part of this mission, players will be given the “Little Witch’s Dictionary” tool (more about it, as well as the starting quest, read in a separate guide).
To add an adventure to the task log, open the dictionary through Inventoryand accept the alchemist's personal quest, selecting his portrait among others.
Talk to Albedo on Dragon Ridge
The quest with Albedo is the shortest of all similar assignments for the Witchcraft faction (at the time of version 6.2) – just get to the scientist's hideout in the central part of the snowy ridge in Mondstadt, and then talk to him near the canvas in the depths of the cave.
We found Albedo after completing the witches’ quest, and a little later Sebas, the butler and the eldest of Gold’s creations known to us, joined us, bringing her message. Reindottir encourages Albedo to look for new questions that will not allow him to get bored, and also leaves a personal letter (its contents were left in the screenshot above) – it will go into the Inventory immediately after the dialogue that ends the short meeting.
Buff “Witch's Eve Ritual: Blinding Light”
Albedo can use the “Blinding Light” buff as part of teams with the resonance of the Secret Rite (where there are 2 or more Sabbat heroes) – you can read about it in detail in the penultimate passive of Alchemist Talents (we also covered the entire buff in the general guide to Lessons from witches).
