Why do you need the SOL3 Phase rank in Wuthering Waves
This parameter, together with the Union Level, demonstrates the player’s progress. These values are closely related to each other, since the first increases only with the growth of the second, and vice versa. Many elements of the game depend on the rank of the world, namely:
- The strength of ordinary and elite enemies, as well as bosses.
- Rewards for destroying bosses, completing daily activities, completing tests and so on.
- Opening new story quests, companion tasks, side missions, and so on.
- The limits on upgrading abilities, weapons and heroes are changing.
In short, the higher your SOL3 Phase rank, the stronger the monsters will become and the more valuable the rewards will be. Thus, the developers do not allow players to relax and encourage them to further level up their characters.
Benefits of increasing the ranks of the SOL3 Phase

How to increase the rank of SOL3 Phase in Wuthering Waves
We have already noted above that this indicator directly depends on the level of unity, that is, after pumping the latter to a certain value (we described in detail all the ways to increase it in a separate guide), you will be able to increase the rank of the world. This is done either automatically by the game itself (every 10 levels of unity), or by completing a special elevation quest (every 20 levels of unity).
Completing the rank elevation quests of the SOL3 Phase
These tasks are similar to each other to each other, so we will analyze only one of them. They will automatically appear in your journal at 20th, 40th and 60th unity levels. Next, you will need to travel to the Resonance Nexus in the city of Jinzhou and talk to the stranger.
After that, go to the west of the city and find the portal there. Go inside it and begin the challenge. You will just need to deal with 8 opponents in 180 seconds. With well-leveled characters, this task will not be difficult for you.
Is it necessary to increase the world level
Above we discussed in detail the advantages of increasing this parameter, but there are certain nuances. The fact is that almost all story and secondary tasks in the game, as well as most of its mechanics, are unlocked up to level 40 of unity.
Thus, if you just want to enjoy exploring Solaris-3, complete missions and participate in various events, then for now it will be enough for you to open the 4th rank of the world.
If you want to pump up your friends to the maximum characters and weapons, clearing dungeons on the highest difficulty and fighting high-level bosses, then you will have to open at least the 7th rank of the SOL3 Phase.
How to lower the level of the world in Wuthering Waves
< p>If the bosses have become too strong or you cannot complete any task, then it makes sense to reduce the rank of the SOL3 Phase. This feature appeared in the game simultaneously with its release. It has a number of features:
- Access to this option appears immediately after reaching world rank 2, so you won’t have to wait long.
- You can only lower it by one level, that is, if you had the 6th, then you will return to the 5th.
- You can lower the rank of a world any number of times and stay on it for as long as you like. However, this indicator is allowed to be changed only once every half day, so it will be possible to restore it only after 12 hours.

Downgrading the world level is quite easy. You just need to open the main menu (Esc key) and click on the icon to the right of your current rank. A new window will immediately open with the “Lower SOL3 Phase” option. Just click on it, and then confirm your choice by clicking on the inscription “Confirm”. There is also a function to restore this parameter.
The consequences of reducing the rank of SOL3 Phase
Enemies and bosses will become weaker, but your characters will not be weakened, and the level of unity will remain the same. In addition, all open dungeons will remain available for clearing. Plus, you can still level up your characters. However, there are still some negative aspects – they are all related to the rewards given out (they will become less valuable).
