Sjuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

In Honkai: Star Rail, Shuey is a 4-star character who has a Quantum type of combat and belongs to the path of Destruction. In a team, she can serve as a primary or secondary damage dealer, aimed at causing damage to enemies with direct and bonus attacks. In this guide we will tell you about her best builds, light cones and relics. You will also learn about recommended units with her.

Note: The Ten Lords Commission Judge from Luofu Xianzhou has not yet been officially released, so the data presented here is based on information obtained through beta testing. If necessary, we will update the guide when the heroine appears in the game.

Main features of Xuei

How to get Xuei

She can be knocked out from several banners:

  • In Departure Leap, it drops with a low probability.
  • In Star Leap, it drops with the standard probability for epic heroes.
  • In Event Jump: Character, she has an increased drop rate if checked in the list of 4-star heroes.
  • In Event Jump: Cone of Light, she has a standard drop rate for Epic Heroes.

The upcoming event banners with it – “Plum Blossom Trilogy” and “Restless Soul” – will be held in the first half of patch 1.6. If you want to know in advance about her future rerun, we advise you to bookmark this article. Please note that HoYoverse sometimes gives out 4-star characters during events.

Xuei's stat progression

In the table below you can see how the heroine's base stats change as her level increases.

Note that her critical damage, critical hit chance and taunt are 50%, 5% and 125 units respectively at any level, and her energy reserve is 120 units.

Advantages and disadvantages of Xuei

Thanks to her unique abilities, she can inflict significant quantum damage on both single and multiple targets. Its advantages also include:

  • It has a unique superpower that breaks through any type of vulnerability, imposing a quantum debuff “Binding” on it. The penetration size is also one of the highest in the game, which allows it to penetrate enemy shields extremely quickly. All this makes her a suitable damage dealer for battle with almost any opponent.
  • Great for fighting strong single enemies, as Binding is the best effect for defeating bosses, allowing you to deal gigantic damage to them and delay their effect.
  • Although it is aimed at battles with bosses, it can do a good job show yourself in battle with large enemy groups, since skill and talent hit several mobs.
  • In addition to direct attacks, she also uses bonus attacks, so she can benefit from buffs that enhance them, which somewhat expands the range of characters with whom she combines well.
  • Extremely useful traces, which not only significantly increase the penetration effect, but and increases damage depending on its indicator.

Xuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

However, this judge should not be considered an ideal character, since it has its disadvantages, namely:

  • Although the cost of Xuei's superpower is considered average among Destruction characters, it is the main source of her damage, so you should try to use it as often as possible, which is why you will need to pay more attention to energy recovery or add a support to your squad that can “flood” energy.
  • Players may have problems leveling up the heroine, since they will need to simultaneously increase several parameters: crits, attack power, penetration effect, speed and VE. You will have to spend a lot of time on optimal balancing of stats.
  • It has relatively low base attack power and health, which negatively affects its overall damage and survivability. Due to her high taunt, she will often be attacked by enemies, so you will have to make sure you have a good shieldman and/or healer in your team.
  • Bonus attacks deal relatively little damage and are not performed as often as we would like. Even to perform one such blow, it is necessary for each ally to reduce the enemy’s resistance, and Xuei herself to use her ult and make one basic attack.
  • Eidolons are mainly aimed at enhancing bonus attacks, and not the general characteristics of the heroine.

Xueya's Abilities

When using the basic attack “Needle of Mara's Dispelling”, she inflicts quantum damage on the enemy equal to 50~130% of her attack power. At the same time, it restores 20 units of energy and penetrates 30 units of durability.

Explanation: Standard shots , which also do not do much damage due to the low base attack of the judge. However, each such attack allows you to gain 1 level of Karma.

After using the “Destroy Evil” skill, she deals quantum damage to the selected target and adjacent enemies in the amount of 70~175% and 35-87.5%, respectively, of her attack power. At the same time, the skill restores 30 units of energy and penetrates 60 units of durability.

Explanation: The skill deals quite a bit of damage (for comparison, the explosive Hook skill at level 10 deals 280% ATK damage to the selected target and 80% to adjacent enemies). But it allows you to gain 2 levels of Karma at once.

Using the superpower “Divine Punishment”, she inflicts quantum damage on the selected enemy in the amount of 150-300% of her ATK, and this blow ignores all types of vulnerability, depleting his durability in any case. When a vulnerability is broken, “Binding” is applied to it. The more durability is depleted, the higher the damage dealt by the ult will be (up to a maximum of 72%). Let's add that the ultimate penetrates 120 points of durability and requires 120 units of energy (5 units are restored).

Explanation: Xuei's main source of damage, which has truly gigantic penetration . To give you an idea of how much this is, let us recall that the elite enemy Stormcloak has 300 units of durability, that is, the judge’s ultimate will remove almost half of his shield, and under the buff of Ruan Mei even more than half. At the same time, you don’t have to look for enemies with quantum vulnerability for it, since it penetrates absolutely any element.

So that you are not afraid to use the superpower on enemies whose stamina is already almost depleted, a buff has been added to it to increase damage when the enemy’s shields are low. That is, if a mob has less than 120 points of durability left, then you will deal additional damage to it. Let's add that the ult gives 4 levels of Karma at once.

As for the heroine’s passive talent, “Eternal Karma,” it allows her to accumulate levels of Karma status by performing attacks. Stacks will stack based on depleted stamina. You can gain a maximum of 8 levels. Depleting an enemy's Toughness by an ally will grant 1 stack.

After reaching the maximum number of Karma levels, the Judge will immediately perform a bonus attack, dealing quantum damage three times to random targets equal to 45~112.5% of her attack power. These hits do not provide additional stacks.

Explanation: The bonus attack does relatively little damage, plus it is spread across three enemies (unless you are fighting a single enemy). Plus, it won’t be easy to summon her, since 1 stack is given for breaking through 30 units of durability. To gain 8 levels, all your allies must deplete the enemy's shields, and Xuei herself must use her ult and one basic attack. It’s definitely not possible to do this every cycle.

Eidolons can significantly improve the situation with bonus attacks, since they will not only increase the damage they deal and allow them to penetrate any vulnerabilities, but will also reduce the number of stacks of Karma required for activation of bonus hits.

We also cannot fail to mention the “Instant Execution” technique , the use of which leads to an immediate attack on the enemy, and after the start of the battle, quantum damage is inflicted on all enemies in the amount of 80% of the judge's attack power.

Traces of Xuei

In addition to the above abilities, the heroine’s leveling tree also includes other enhancements that provide passive bonuses or permanent increases to characteristics. They mainly increase the penetration effect, quantum damage and the heroine's health. You can see them all in the picture below.

Xuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

Sjuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

Xuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

Some traces require separate consideration. For example, “Shadow of Omen” looks too good to be true, because with it, any attack from Xueya will deal massive damage if the penetration effect is sufficiently upgraded. Most likely, it will be nerfed or additional conditions will be introduced.

The Mind Observation trail allows you to accumulate Karma levels. If, for example, you have collected 7 stacks out of 8, and you have an ult ready, then using it will not lead to the burning of 3 levels, but they will be transferred to a future talent, that is, next time you will have to collect only 5 stacks instead of 8 .

Eidolons of Xuei

To unlock them, materials of the same name are required, which are issued when duplicates of the heroine appear, which, of course, is random. However, the likelihood of getting 4-star characters is much higher than legendary ones, so you may well open at least a couple of constellations. Although even without them, the judge from Lofu plays the role of the main or secondary damage dealer well.

We recommend that you open at least E1 and E2, as they will not only increase the damage from bonus attacks, but also penetrate any vulnerabilities with them. This will make Xuei an extremely versatile damage dealer who can be taken into any battle, as she can quickly break through enemy shields. The list below describes all the eidolons.

  1. Bound Inner Demons – increases damage from bonus attacks by 40%.
  2. Destroying Desire – bonus attacks will be able to penetrate any type of vulnerability and restore the judge 5% health. When their resistance is broken, they will apply “Bind.”
  3. Dukka – the level of the skill increases by two, and the level of the basic attack – by one. The maximum level of the first increases to 15, and the second – to 10.
  4. Destroying the spawn of evil – increases the penetration effect by 40% for two turns after activating the ult.
  5. Lord of Spirits – the level of ult and talent increases by two. The maximum level for both abilities increases to 15. A useful eidolon that increases the overall DPS of the heroine.
  6. Sculptor of Life and Death – reduces the maximum number of Karma levels to 6.

How to play as Xuei

The entire gameplay of the heroine is based on the use of her “Divine Punishment” ult, since it is capable of inflicting significant damage on a single target and removing a considerable part of its stamina. You will break through the vulnerability of any ordinary mob with one hit, and you can remove almost half of the shield of many elite enemies, especially with the boost from Ruan Mei.

Sjuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

< p>Having broken through resistance, you will apply “Binding” to the enemy, which not only delays the enemy’s action, but also allows you to inflict gigantic damage on him when collecting 5 stacks (they are gained by attacks from allies). This effect works best on strong single targets. By the way, the damage and the amount of shackling directly depend on the penetration effect, so we advise you to definitely upgrade this parameter.

With open eidolons, bonus attacks, along with the ultimate, become one of Xuei’s main sources of damage. In this case, it makes sense to strengthen them even more, for example, with the buff from Topaz and try to use them more often, taking into your team allies who can break through the vulnerabilities of the enemies you have to fight. However, with E6 it will be enough to use 1 skill and the judge’s superpower to trigger a bonus attack.

Xuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

As for rotation, the optimal option looks like as follows:

  1. Try to use Xuei's technique before the fight if at least one enemy has a quantum vulnerability, since in this case you can get at least 2 levels of Karma.
  2. When the turn passes to the judge, use her skill. Although it deals relatively little damage (without taking into account the trace), it allows you to gain 2 levels of Karma and gain the energy necessary for the ult.
  3. Once you have your superpower ready, use it on your strongest enemy to deal massive damage and remove a significant portion of their durability. If you are lucky, you will be able to completely break through it by casting “Bind” on the enemy.
  4. If the circumstances are successful, after using the ult you will gain the required number of Karma levels to immediately perform a bonus attack that will either hit three random mobs, or will damage one enemy three times.

Best builds for Xuei

Best light cones

Try to choose a weapon that increases attack power, penetration effect, critical damage, or chance of landing critical hits. The table below presents several of the most interesting options.

NameCharacteristicsAbility

Sjuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

About the Fall of Eon (5 stars)

HP: 1058

ATK: 529

DEF: 396< /p>

Increases the wearer's attack power by 8-16% in the current fight each time he attacks an enemy. Stacks up to four times. If the vulnerability is broken, the damage increases by 12-24% for two turns. The main advantage of this cone is that it is free, as you can get it from Gerta's store in the Virtual Universe and awaken it to the maximum level. It gives a significant increase in attack power, which is extremely necessary for Xuei, because all her attacking abilities are scaled by this indicator, but at the same time, it can only be gained in relics in side stats. She can easily activate the cone passive, as she is able to quickly penetrate enemy shields.

Sjuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

Something irreplaceable (5 stars)

HP: 1164

ATK: 582

DEF: 396

Increases attack power by 24-40%. After destroying an enemy or receiving a blow, immediately restores health equal to 8-12% of the attack power. The wearer's damage increases by 24-40% until the end of the next turn. The bonus does not stack and is activated only once per turn. Gives a significant increase in attack power, which affects the damage of Xuei's abilities. The passive will trigger quite often, because the judge has a relatively high taunt (like Clara), so she will often be attacked.

Sjuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

Secret Oath (4 stars)

HP: 1058

ATK: 476

DEF: 264

Increases damage by 20-40% and deals an additional 20-40% damage to selected enemies with a higher percentage of health than the wearer. It increases Xuei's overall damage quite well, especially in a fully awakened state. But for frequent passive work in the squad, it is advisable to keep not a healer, but a shield warrior, so that the judge’s health is not always at maximum values.

Sjuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

Under the Blue Sky (4 stars)

HP: 43~ 952

Attack Power: 21~476

Defense: 15~330

Increases attack power by 16-32%. If you defeat an enemy, increases the chance of landing a critical hit by 12-24% for 3 turns. Gives the attack power Xuei needs and sometimes increases the critical chance, allowing relics to pay more attention to critical damage. Overall a good cone, however, in terms of overall damage it is still inferior to the previous one.

Sjuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

Nowhere to run (4 stars)

HP: 43~952

< p>Attack power: 21~529

Defense: 12~264

Increases attack power by 24-48%. After defeating an enemy, heals the owner by 12-24% of his attack power. Significantly increases ATK, which increases Xueya’s overall damage, and heals her (with the second eidolon you can completely forget about the healer). Good weapons, however, are obtained from the Battle Pass. We do not recommend purposefully spending money on it when you can get “On the Fall of the Aeon” for free. If you already have this cone, then you can safely give it to the judge.

Sjuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

Moles welcome you (4 stars)

HP: 1058< /p>

ATK: 476

DEF: 264

Gives 1 level of Mischief when attacking with a basic hit, skill or ult. Each level increases attack power by 12-24%. It can significantly increase the attack power with its passive, which is very easy to use – you just need to hit enemies with any blows. But to quickly get a decent increase, you will have to significantly increase the heroine’s speed so that she can make several moves in one cycle. Plus, her bonus attacks are not taken into account by her passive.

Best Relics

At this point in time, the most optimal set for Xueya is “Genius of Diamond Stars”, 2 parts of which increase quantum damage by 10%, and 4 parts allow you to ignore 10% of the enemy’s defense if damage is dealt to him. If the enemy has a quantum vulnerability, then another 10% of the defense is ignored. True, the second part of the passive will not always work, since you will often be the judge against enemies who do not have quantum vulnerability.

A good alternative to the above set could be “Thief of the Falling Meteor”, 2 parts of which increase the penetration effect by 16%, and 4 parts increase this indicator by another 16%. When the wearer breaks through an enemy's vulnerability, he restores 3 units of energy to him. Thanks to the increased penetration effect, all of Xuei's damage will increase, and Binding will hit even more painfully. Plus, the judge will be able to ult more often, as her energy recovery will speed up.

As a budget option, the “Wild Wheat Shooter” is suitable, 2 parts of which increase attack power by 12%, and 4 parts increase the speed of the wearer by 6%, and the damage from his basic attack by 10%. Attack power and speed are important to Xuei, but she will not use ordinary attacks very often.

If you still can't collect complete sets with the necessary characteristics, then you can simply combine two incomplete sets, for example, “Thief of the Falling Meteor” with “Wild Wheat Shooter” or “Genius of the Diamond Stars”.

Now Let's move on to planar jewelry, which is mined in the Virtual Universe. The list below shows the recommended options (the numbers indicate the priority of choice):

Planar decorationBonusesReasons for choosing

Sjuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

1) Frozen Salsotto

2 parts: increases the chance of inflicting a critical hit by 8%. If this parameter exceeds 50%, then the damage from the ult and bonus attack will increase by 15%.Xuei is very important crit. chance, and she does the main damage with her ult and bonus attacks (if eidolons are open). So with this set you can significantly increase the overall damage of the judge.

Sjuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

2) Skyfront Glatiramer

2 pieces: Increases attack power by 12%. If the wearer's speed is equal to or greater than 135/160 units, then the damage they deal increases by 12%/18% respectively.Gives the attack power Xuei needs and can increase her overall damage. Gaining 160 points of speed is extremely problematic, but 135 points is quite possible if you find golden boots for speed.

Sjuei in Honkai Star Rail: guide to the best builds

3) Space Sealing Station

2 parts: increases ATK by 12%. Gives another 12% to this parameter if the character’s speed is equal to or exceeds 120 units. Can be a good alternative to the previous set if you are not sure that you can gain high speed. Getting 120 units will be much easier than 135.

As for the characteristics of relics, you need to choose as follows:

  • Body: critical damage or chance of critical hits (the choice depends on what weapons and relics you gave to Xuei, that is, if there is an excess of critical damage, take the chance of critical and vice versa)
  • Legs: attack speed/power (the first option is preferable)
  • Planar sphere: quantum damage
  • Connecting rope: penetration effect
  • Additional characteristics: critical damage/crit chance > attack power% > energy recovery > speed

Best commands for Xuei

If the judge has at least E2 open, then she can be taken to almost any team, since with her ult and bonus attacks she will be able to break through the vulnerabilities of all enemies arrayed against her. It goes well with characters that enhance the effect of breaking through a vulnerability (Ruan Mei) and bonus attacks (Topaz).

Considering the relatively high cost of Xuei's superpower, it is advisable to add a support to her team who can pour energy into her, for example, Hoho and Tingyun. They will also be able to increase the attack power she needs. Other ATK buffers are also suitable.

If you use the “Secret Oath” cone, then it is better to take a shield warrior into your squad rather than a healer. With the “Genius of Diamond Stars” set, we recommend adding Silver Wolf to your squad so that you can activate the second passive of the set more often. The table below shows the optimal commands.

How to increase abilities (what to level up first)

The pictures below demonstrate the materials and their quantity required to maximally level up a basic attack , skill, superpower and talent.

  • The Shattered, Lifeless and All-Destructive Blade is obtained from a sepal located in the Storage Area (Herta Space Station) or using Synthesis.
  • Fade Core, Glimmer Core, and Writhing Core are dropped from some Fragmentum monsters, quests, and enemies in the Virtual Universe, or through Synthesis. Can also be purchased with Unquenchable Ash.
  • Wormhole's Past Disasters – obtained by fighting the boss King of the Starfall Swarm: Skarakabaz.
  • Fatemarks – obtained in the Virtual Universe, awarded in the Battle Pass and purchased with unquenchable ashes in the Pom-Pom store. Sometimes they are rewards in temporary events.

As for the priority of leveling up abilities, if there are no eidolons, level up your superpower first. Otherwise, increase it at the same time as the talent. Then upgrade the skill (it may lag behind previous abilities by 1-2 levels). Increase basic attacks on a residual basis.

How to elevate a character

At certain levels you will need to elevate the heroine, spending a large amount of resources and credits:

  • Ascension (level 30): x4000 credits and x5 faded cores
  • Ascension (level 40): x8000 credits and x10 faded cores
  • Exaltation (level 50): x16000 credits, x6 flickering cores and monkey spike x3
  • Exaltation (level 60): credits x40000, flickering cores x9 and monkey spike x7
  • Exaltation (level 70): credits x80000, writhing cores x6 and monkey spike x20
  • Ascension (level 80): credits x160000, writhing cores x9 and monkey thorn x35

Monkey thorn can be obtained from the stagnant shadow located in the Scaly Gorge (Loufu Xianzhou) .
