Zodiac Village in Black Myth Wukong is a special place in the Painted World that can only be unlocked in the third chapter by completing a simple quest.
For convenience, all the NPCs you know from before will gather in this place. New characters will also appear in the Village, with the help of which you can improve equipment and grow plants. There are also three achievements associated with this location that can be obtained in this game.

How to find Chen-long and start the quest
In the middle of the third chapter, after meeting Admiral Bajie, you will find yourself in the Bitter Lake location. Activate the Bitter Lake (northern shore) altarand facing the sea, follow the coastline to the right. From afar, you can see a dragon in the water, which turns out to be an old acquaintance of the admiral. You will have to fight old Chen-long, and then talk to him. He will complain about his health and ask you to deliver him pills from Xu Dogu.
Deliver him some medicine
Return to Chapter 2 on Yellow Wind Ridge using the Incense Altar, to the Basement point, Crouching Tiger Temple. Talk to your old friend Xu Dogu and he will give you the recipe for Strengthening Potion and Special Bone Strengthening Pill.
Teleport back to the altar of Northern Shore of Bitter Lakeand give the medicine to Chen-long. The dragon will be waiting for you on the shore near the hut, almost opposite the battle site.
Deliver the medicine and watch a short cutscene. Chen-long will give you a Scroll of Good Wishes, and you will immediately be transported to a new location, to the altar of the Entrance to the settlement of the Zodiac Village.
In the future, you will be able to move there not only with the help of the Guardian's altar, but also simply using the Scroll of Chen-long in your inventory.
All the possibilities of the Zodiac Village
The characters you already know from previous chapters will gather in the new place: Monkey Shen and Xu Dogu. Also in this location you will find the dragon Chen-long and the previously unknown character Tiger Yin.
Get new medicine
The first NPC that can be found near the altar is Xu Dogu. Now, in addition to buying and preparing healing items, it is now possible to receive new free medicine from the fox from time to time. You will be able to immediately receive Vigor Powder and Life-Saving Pill.
Upgrade the Bottle
Next to Xu Dogu, you will be able to see the familiar Shen Monkey from the first chapter, which you met on the way to the boss Xiucai in white robes. You will also be able to improve your bottles and drinks.
It is in the Zodiac Village that Monkey Shen, you will be able to use the following materials found earlier: Wine Worm and Fragrant Vine from Mount Luojia.
Improving Gear
To reach the new character, follow the path to the left and go through the gate. There you will see Yin Tiger forging his sword.
After a short conversation, a menu will be available where you can craft weapons and armor, as well as improve equipment. Also in his shop you can buy some materials for creating weapons.
The difference between his services and the manufacture of equipment in the Guardian's Altar is the improvement of equipment from normal to mythical.
You will also be able to challenge the Tiger to battle, after defeating which you will receive a new spell.
Plant Cultivation
In a small gazebo, to the right of the Monkey Shen there will now be Chen-long.
You can give all the collected plant seeds during the game to Chen-long in order to have a supply of ingredients that will be updated every 30 minutes of real time.
The rarer the seeds, the longer they will take to grow and the less ingredients you can take from them.
After the first batch of grown plants, you will receive an achievement “Good Harvest”.
There are 15 seeds of various plants and mushrooms in the game. Some seeds can be dropped by bosses, while others can be found by randomly collecting the required number of plants.
For all the seeds you collect, you will be rewarded with the “What goes around…” achievement. You will also receive the “Elegant Orchid” supplement, which is needed to complete the “Winemaker's Joy” achievement.
