In Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai: Star Rail Divination Commission Chests are valuable objects containing a variety of treasures ranging from arrows and ending with star jade. In this guide, we will tell you where you can find them and how to open them, because to unlock some chests you first need to solve a puzzle, complete a quest or destroy strong opponents.
Where to find chests in the Divination Commission
Access to this area will open up when you complete the development mission called “Branches Return, Fate of Intricacies”, but we advise you to start exploring it after completing this task. It consists of two levels, where you can find 33 chests of different rarity levels. On the maps below you can see their approximate location. Below we will tell you in detail how to get to them. Let's start by inspecting the first floor.
Normal chest 1
Move to the Dimensional Terminal anchor located on the first level, and then run south, past the enemies. Get to the purple terminal and look for the treasure chest at the back.
Valuable Chest 2/3
Go back north a little and turn onto the platform on the left side. In its southern part, you can find a hexanexus puzzle. You will be able to solve it twice (regular and advanced version), resulting in two valuable boxes. We talked in detail about solving these riddles in a separate guide.
Valuable Chest 4
Travel back to the Dimensional Terminal and then go north behind it. Here you will face dangerous opponents: students of Sanctus Medicus and soldiers smitten by Mara. Their vulnerabilities are shown in the screenshot below.
Valuable Chest 5
Go back to the Dimensional Terminal anchor and run south again, but almost immediately roll onto the platform on the left. Here you will find two groups of enemies, consisting of dragonfish and internal alchemists. Their vulnerabilities are shown in the screenshots below. We advise you to deal with the fish first, because after death they explode, causing damage to their allies.
Regular Chest 6
Teleport to the Dimensional Terminal and now head northeast to the outermost platform. If the door here is closed, then you will have to use the detour on the east side. To do this, however, you will first have to fix the screen by solving the jade pattern puzzle.
To solve the puzzle, you must do the following:
- Click on the right green hexagon and rotate it counterclockwise once (first screenshot).
- Click on the left green hexagon and rotate counterclockwise twice (second screenshot).
- Click on the right green hexagon again and rotate it clockwise twice (third screenshot).
- Finally, click on the left green hexagon and rotate it clockwise once (fourth screenshot).

After solving the puzzle, just fly over to the other side, go forward a little and on the left side you will find a treasure chest. Don't forget to open the door ahead afterwards.
Deluxe Chest 7
Using the teleportation screen, move to the eastern part of the location, and then go a little south and go down to the platform on the right side. Here you will find a dangerous enemy – aurumaton. Its vulnerabilities are shown below.
When he spawns Dragonfish, try to kill them first, as they deal AoE damage and explode on death, dealing damage to the boss. Plus, while they are on the battlefield, any vulnerabilities disappear from the elite enemy.
Regular Chest 8
From the previous chest, go up the stairs, and then immediately turn right onto the south platform . Here you will find a simple treasure box near the scroll racks.
Normal Chest 9
From the last chest, go back north, then turn right and start again move south, climbing up the long stairs. On one of the flights you will find a treasure chest.
Valuable Chest 10/11
Go to the easternmost platform and go down a little to the south. There you will find a hexanexus puzzle. You will be able to solve it twice, getting two valuable treasure boxes. In a separate guide, we have shown how to solve these riddles.
Valuable Chest 12/13
Now go back, turn left and head north. There you will find a hexanexus puzzle. You will be able to solve it twice, getting two valuable treasure boxes. In a separate guide, we told you how to solve these riddles.
Regular chest 14
Move to the spatial anchor “Fortune telling platform”, which is located on the second floor of the location. Then start moving to the southwest, going up and down the stairs. Go to the westernmost part of the area. In this small nook you will find a treasure chest.
Valuable Chest 15/16
From the previous chest, go a little southeast. On a spacious area, you will find a hexanexus puzzle. You will be able to solve it twice, getting two valuable treasure boxes. In a separate guide, we told you how to solve these riddles.
Regular chest 17
Return to the Fortune Divination Platform again, and then go to the northern pier, located parallel to the one you are currently on. At the end of it is the box you need.
Regular chest 18
Go back to the area where the hexanexus was (15/16 chests) and go through in a small nook located in the southeast. Here you will find a treasure chest.
Valuable Chest 19
Go back to Lucky Divination Platform and then move to the bottom east pier. There you will find a puzzle with a navigational compass. Its solution is presented in our separate guide.
Valuable Chest 20
From the last puzzle, go north to the second dock and here you will find the second puzzle with the navigational compass. Its solution is presented in our separate guide.
Regular Chest 21
From the previous chest, go even further north and you will find a regular chest here with treasures. It will be protected by a group of monsters.
Valuable Chest 22
To get it, you will first need to find the Roboptah located in the northern part locations. She sits on a metal pole next to a scroll rack. The exact location of the bird can be seen in the pictures below.
Examine the drone to activate it, then follow it to the southwest and approach the boxes. Wait until he picks up the package. Now follow the robot to the south and approach the wall. A chest should appear here.
Valuable Chest 23
To obtain it, you will first need to find a Roboptah that is directly opposite the Dimensional anchor “Conference Room”. She will sit on a rack with scrolls. Its exact location is shown in the screenshots below.
To activate the drone, you will first have to repair it by solving the jade circuit puzzle. Follow these steps:
- Click on the top green hexagon and rotate it counterclockwise twice (first screenshot).
- Click on the bottom green hexagon and rotate it clockwise three times (second screenshot).
- Click again click on the top hexagon and rotate it clockwise once (third screenshot).
- Finally click on the bottom hexagon again and rotate it clockwise twice (fourth screenshot).
After solving the puzzle, start following the bird to the west. She will lead you straight to a valuable chest.
Common Chest 24
It can be found just north of where you found the previous chest . You can also just go south from the anchor “Superior Matrix of Foresight”. The crate is near the wall.
Regular chest 25
Move back to the “Conference Room” and then go south a little, going up and down the stairs. Turn left and you will see a chest next to the scrolls.
Valuable chest 26
From the previous chest, go up the stairs to the right, and then start moving east. Once on a spacious platform, go to the first northern pier. There you will find a puzzle with a navigational compass. Its solution is presented in our separate guide.
Valuable Chest 27
From the previous chest, go to the second south pier. There you will find a puzzle with a navigational compass. Its solution is presented in our separate guide.
Chests 28-33
Move again to the “Conference Room”, and then go up the stairs and turn right. There, look for a little girl named Huixing and chat with her. Ask her what she's doing and then agree to help her – this will lead to the start of a hidden quest to solve the puzzles Comprehensive Divination.
