Safe codes in The Last of Us: Part 1 are special digital combinations for opening safes that will be encountered during the passage of the game and allow you to get a variety of items. How to open safes in The Last of Us: Part 1
The safes in the game are closed with ordinary combination locks, and to open them you need to find out the combination of numbers, which is usually contained on a note somewhere in the same location. If you know the code, you will be able to get the contents of the vault, although if you find the code first, you will have to wander around in search of a suitable safe.
There are only 4 notes with codes in the game and the same number of safes corresponding to them. Below we indicate the location of each of these objects.
Subway safe
Shortly after the game starts, you will descend into a dark subway ruin with a bunch of shops inside. The code can be found on the left side of the large room, in a boutique with an ATM at the entrance. After entering there, go around the counter and search the drawer under the table – there will be a note with a cipher.
The safe is located directly opposite the store where you just read the note. Just get out and move forward, avoiding obstacles. Once you see the bookstore sign, head inside and deal with the enemy in the left corner. The vault will open if you enter the already known code: 3-43-78.
Safe in the woods, chapter four “Bill's town”
After the heroes open the gate and enter the abandoned street, it will be possible to open the second safe. Turn left near the corner store and run to a dead end – the note is strung on barbed wire at the end of the street.
After seeing the code on the sheet – 5-17-21, return to the store on the corner , next to which there is a safe. Enter the received code and collect the content.
Pittsburgh hotel safe chapter five
< p>Once in the hotel lobby in the fifth chapter, you can quickly open the safe located here. First, find a note: after picking up a ladder in the corner on the left, place it against the opposite wall and climb up and move to the right, in front of the flight of stairs there will be a piece of paper with a code.
The safe is in the room to the right of the opening through which you entered the hotel. Just go back and go around the staff desks, the storage will be in the back room behind them. We remind you of the code from the note: 22-10-56.
Safe in a private house, chapter six
< p>In the suburbs, look for a house marked with red cross graffiti, next to it is an ice cream van. Climb to the top floor, on the right on the table is a matchbox with a code written on it.
The safe is located in the first room on the left after going up to the second floor, go down there and take the contents of the vault using the found code: 08-21-36.
Rewards for opening safes
In the safes you will find mainly materials for crafting items and ammunition for weapons. Finding all the ciphers and opening all the locks also provides the in-game achievement “Nimble Fingers”.
