In Genshin Impact, Ancient Tongue, New Knowledge is a questline in the Sumeru Desert that has you re-exploring the ruins for evidence and ancient tablets. It consists of several missions in which you will need to solve puzzles and fight constructions. In this guide, we will tell you how to start the chain, and give links to the passage of all tasks.

How to start the Ancient Language, New Knowledge chain
Access to it will open after completing the mission under titled “Dreams Under the Burning Sands”. However, it will not be possible to immediately take up its execution – you must wait for the server to be reset, that is, wait until tomorrow.
After fulfilling the indicated conditions, move to the statue of the seven archons, located east of the village of Aaru. You can also just walk around the village if you are already nearby. Almost immediately, a story cutscene will start, which will give rise to the task you need.
Double Proof
Examine the Red Sands Slab for new locations that you can now explore. You have to go to the Duat Hall and solve a lot of different mysteries related to primordial sparks and torches. At the end, you will climb to the top of the tomb of King Deshret. A detailed passage of the quest is presented in our separate material. Completing it will reward you with 500 Adventure Points, 60 Primogems, 40,000 Mora, 4 Hero Books, and 4 Enchantment Magic Ores.
Soheil's Dream
Talk to the scientist and listen to his story . He will give you his archeological notes, which talk about the ruins, which may still contain treasures. You will need to visit several ruins as part of three subquests.
Invisible barrier
You have to explore the Transparent Ruins, located on the territory of the Desert of Colonnades. In each location you will have to solve a small riddle. A detailed passage of the quest is presented in our separate material. Completing it will reward you with 300 Adventure Points, 40 Primogems, 20K Mora, 3 Hero Books, and 3 Enchantment Magic Ores.
Hidden Mercenaries
Head to the Rock of the Lamb Eater and infiltrate the secret base of Thutmose, where various treasures are hidden. To get there, you will need to find out the password from the robber. Inside, search the cave thoroughly. A detailed passage of the quest is presented in our separate material. As a reward for completing it, you will receive 350 adventure points, 40 primogems, 40 thousand pestilence, 3 hero books and 3 magical enhancement ores.
Memories of the Desert
Get to the Mound of Feast and study it well by solving a couple of puzzles. As a result, you will be able to unlock the room with chests, where you will find the desired artifact. A detailed passage of the quest is presented in our separate material. Completing it will reward you with 300 Adventure Points, 40 Primogems, 20K Mora, 3 Hero Books, and 3 Enchantment Magic Ores.
After finding all the ancient stone tablets, return to Soheil and hand over the slabs to him to complete the last mission of the chain and receive the final reward: 100 adventure points, 20 source stones and 10 thousand pestilence. Don't forget to also visit the Effendi in the capital city of Sumeru for 20 reputation.
