In Genshin ImpactThe Astral Reach is a separate mode in which players develop content themselves, receiving various rewards for it. You can create anything in it, from fun puzzle activities to full-fledged game projects in different genres.
This mode has customizable characters, who can change not only their appearance, but also their clothes, and the latter can be obtained through a new banner system. In this guide, we'll walk you through the basics of the Astral Reach so you have a rough idea of what exactly it's all about.
Note: Such projects are usually called User-Generated Content (UGC), and their most prominent representative is the Roblox platform, which allows anyone to create their own games based on it.
How to get to the Astral Limit in Genshin Impact
Access to the new mode opened with the release of patch 6.1 (Moon II), that is, October 22, 2025. You should prepare additional space on your device in advance (the exact size is not yet known, but most likely we are talking about several gigabytes). Before you can get into it, you will have to fulfill a couple of conditions, namely:
- Reach Adventure Rank 2.
- Complete the Archon quest “The Stranger Who Caught the Wind”, which is the first chapter of the Prologue.
- Complete the Archon quest “Paralogism”, which is the fourth chapter of the interim volume (optional).
It is not at all necessary to complete the last quest, but this will allow you to better understand the essence of the Astral Divide, because it was created by the witch Octavia, from whom at the end of this mission you will receive a Dazzling Mysterious Gift. As it turns out, he is a teleporter to this new reality.
However, as we have already noted, you can skip this task by getting into UGC mode through the button in the Paimon menu (located at the bottom left) or using the corresponding icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
Creating and customizing the appearance of a Mannequin
After entering the new mode for the first time, the first thing you will need to do is create a Mannequin for yourself, which will become the personification of your avatar in the game. First you need to choose the character's gender, and then customize his appearance, including skin tone, eyes, hairstyle, costumes and so on, and youcan change the image at any time!
How to unlock new outfits
In addition to one-piece costumes, this mode will also feature individual items of clothing and accessories, to open which you can use several methods, namely:
Chronicle– a kind of battle pass, which has paid and free versions that differ in rewards (in the paid version, the outfits, of course, will be more colorful and interesting). You will need to increase the Chronicle level by participating in various activities to receive rewards.
Craft – receive catalogs (analogous to blueprints) of the desired things in Odes and Echoes of the Meeting and collect resources to create them in the battle pass, and then simply make clothes in the corresponding menu.
Ode of the Event and Echo of the Meeting – temporary and standard banners of the Astral Limit, in which you can receive epic and legendary costumes or individual items of clothing. We described the new banner system in more detail in a separate guide.
Giving is a unique gift system that can be unlocked at a certain level. With its help, you can give any things to your friends with a high Harmony score, as well as receive gifts in return from them.
In-game store – you can purchase individual items of clothing, full-fledged costumes or materials for their manufacture in a special store. Purchased items can also be given as a gift.
Quests and activities – increase your level in the Astral Limit, complete assigned tasks or achieve certain goals to receive special caskets containing outfits.
Using the Mannequin in the main game
You can add the created Mannequin to your squad, making it the embodiment of the Traveler, that is, it will have the current skills and element of the main character. Its level will correspond to your level in the Astral Limit, so you will not have to spend any resources to upgrade the Mannequin.
How to get and use Reconstruction Geodes
In short, Reconstruction Geodes are a game currency similar to source stones, that is, they are necessary for obtaining catalogs. You can get them by leveling up your Battle Pass every week. Even in the free version, you will be able to get a lot of these magic crystals.
Main Hall
We are talking about a standard lobby in which players gather, among whom there may be both your friends and completely random Travelers. You can chat with them in a general chat to get to know each other and take part in various games.
How to create a personal lobby
If you like to play alone, then after reaching a certain level of the Astral Limit you will be able to open access to your personal main hall, which can be decorated at your discretion, for example, adding other buildings or choosing musical accompaniment. Naturally, you can invite your friends here.

While in the Main Hall, go to the “Popular Limits” page to see all current projects of other players and play them. There is a sophisticated filter that allows you to select the type of games (action, roguelike, competition, shooter, etc.), tags (3rd person, fixed camera, casual, etc.) and the number of players (single player or co-op).

How to create your own game
While in the Main Hall, click on the “My Astral Limit” button in the upper right corner of the main menu to go to the special Miliastra Sandbox editor. Here you can create your own game worlds using a set of pre-installed assets and objects. All this can be combined with each other, coming up with unique gameplay mechanics.
