Completing the quest “Brotherly Timidity and Courage” in Dragon's Dogma 2

How to start the task

< p>To do this, you need to find a guy named Jan in the village of Melve, where you will end up in the story. It is located near the pharmacy – go down a little, in a southerly direction. He is quite easy to distinguish from other residents of the settlement, as he wears a shield on his back and a long cloak. Plus, he will constantly lament about his missing brother. Chat with him and agree to help him find Norbert.

Note: Just note that as soon as you accept the quest, you will immediately need to follow Ian, otherwise his brother may die and you will fail the task. Therefore, we recommend that you rest at the inn and buy potions/equipment before agreeing to the boy’s request. Let us add that it is best to complete the mission during the day, since dangerous enemies may appear on the road at night.

Find Norbert

Having agreed to help Ian, start following him along the road. He will be marked on the mini-map with a yellow diamond, so even if you lose sight of him, you will still be able to catch up with him later (he will stop if you stop following him). After leaving the village, cross the bridge and turn left. Next, run along the path to the top.

On the way you may encounter a couple of goblins, but they do not pose much of a threat. After a few minutes, you will find yourself in an open area with a smoldering fire, where Ian will suggest setting up camp. To do this, you will need a backpack, which will lie on the ground nearby. Then simply go to the bonfire and select the “Set up camp” option.

However, if you have already rested at a hotel before, you don’t have to put up your tent, but simply continue to run after Ian, crossing the stone bridge. Go further up the path and deal with several goblins. After passing through the gorge, you will finally find Norbert, who is surrounded by several wolves (his exact location is shown in the pictures below).

Wolves are not much stronger than goblins, however, they are much more agile, so they are somewhat more difficult to hit. They may also grab you and drag you away from your group. Use Rush attacks to break free from the grip. Overall, fighting them shouldn't cause you any problems. Difficulties can only arise at night, when other monsters, including even ogres, often join the battle.

Escort the brothers back to Melwe

After dealing with all the opponents, talk to the brothers. Now you will need to take them back to the village. To do this, simply follow the same path as before. You can use sprint, since Jan and Norbert will not lag behind you.

As soon as you cross the bridge, the brothers will again enter into dialogue with you and thank you for your help. This will be the end of the mission. As a reward you will receive 400 experience points, 1500 gold and a Homespun Cape.
