In God of War Ragnarok, the Burning Skies is a request to find and defeat the Ashen Tyrant tyrant, for killing which they give two claws of the dragon. In this guide, we will tell you how to start this side mission, as well as find the lizard's lair and kill it.

How to start the quest
First of all, complete the story mission called “Beasts of Prophecy”. When you visit Vanaheim again, you will be given a side quest “The Smell of Survival”, which will lead you to a new area – the Crater. Then move to its northwestern part and interact with the Sky Altar to change day to night.

Now move to the south of the Plains to find a passage to the Jungle, as shown in the two screenshots below. Head to the southwestern part of the location until you reach the dam, where you will receive the “Return of the River” request. Pass it so that water returns to the river.
Go east of the Plains, go through the huge archway and climb down the rope to get to the Wells. Go deeper into this area and reach the round arena where you need to destroy two pillars. There you will meet another dragon, after which the task you need will start.

How to find the way to the dragon's lair
Go to the Mystic Gates of the Wells and board the boat on the shore. Swim to the place where the request started, and moor near the Heavenly Altar. Open the gate by pulling the chain, then return to the riverboat.

Get back into the boat and sail to the next shore. Get out on land and open the metal door by simply lifting it. Run forward through the tunnel.

The wall on the left will collapse and a draugr will attack you. To the right is a bunch of rocks with three yellow dots – shoot them with your spears and then blow them up to clear your way. Next, deal with the next draugr.
Run into the new passage, turn left and go down the stairs. On the right you will see a ledge that you need to climb up. Be careful, as the dragon will immediately attack you, exhaling flames. Hide in the recess on the left and fire your spear at another yellow dot on the rocks ahead on the right.

The tunnel will collapse and you can now safely climb the wall on the right. When you get out into the open, you will find a chest with runes ahead. Here you can be attacked by the Untamed Fury boss. However, after a few hits, it will disappear. Now just climb the wall to start the fight with the dragon.

How to defeat the Ashen Tyrant
This white dragon will use bites in close combat and fire attacks in ranged. If you see that the enemy raised his head, and a yellow spot appeared on his neck, then immediately throw a spot at him to knock the enemy down. As a result, you can beat him with complete impunity for a few seconds. We advise you at this moment to use all your runic attacks, abilities and companion skills to inflict maximum damage.

After some time, the Ash Tyrant will take off and then sit on one of the pillars, calling for help from wyverns and draugrs. Deal with all ordinary mobs (the dragon's fire also damages them), and then throw a spear at the yellow dot on the stone pillar where the dragon sits. The column will collapse and the enemy will descend to the ground again.

The boss can also perform a grab attack. In this case, quickly click on the “circle” to get out of the monster's grip and knock him down. When the lizard is out of health, walk up to it and press R3 to finish it off.
After killing the Ashen Tyrant, the quest will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 3000 experience points for Kratos, 750 experience points for Atreus, 2 dragon claws, and Seal of the Runestorm (amulet enchantment).
