In Honkai: Star Rail, Chasing a Dream is an exploration mission and part of the Sound and Fury quest line, during which you will check into a room at the Dreams Hotel, meet new interesting personalities, and learn how the Dream Bowl works while exploring provided apartments. Completing the exploration mission “Chasing the Dream”
How to start the task
It starts automatically immediately after completing the previous quest in the chain called “Long Day's Journey into Night”, where you make a hyperjump and finally find yourself on Penaconia.
Go to the check-in counter
Once you arrive at the Dream Hotel (reality), you can immediately head out to your friends or chat with Misha first to complete the optional objective and learn more about the hotel from the bellhop.
Near the counter, you will learn that the room was not reserved for the Pioneer, since the main character at that time was not yet a member of the Star Express. However, Aventurine will appear and agree to vouch for us with the hotel staff.
Talk to Aventurine and Robin
When the drama at the front desk is over, you can talk to Aventurine and Sunday (optional), standing next to lobby manager Dennis. A KMM employee will decide to apologize to us for the inconvenience caused. The amount of compensation will depend on your answer:
- Thank you, but gifts are not worth it – Aventurine will give you 20 thousand credits.
- I gladly accept the apology – Aventurine will give you 10 thousand credits.
Now turn around and go to the Robin, near which the rest of your friends have gathered. Chat with the girl.
After the conversation, go back to the front desk to check into your new rooms. You will also receive a Dream World Pass, which is the key to your room and contains many useful features, including the accumulation of photo stickers.
Then take the elevator and move to the VIP room, which is indicated by the quest marker. After going to the desired room, go to the bar and chat with your friends again about the encrypted message.
Return to your room and indulge in dreams in the Bowl of Dreams
Before heading to your apartment, you can additionally talk with the crew members: Welt is standing near the bar, and Himeke is sitting on a sofa nearby. As for March 7, she has already gone to her room, which is located opposite the main character’s room – the screenshots below show where to look for it.
After talking with everyone, you can go to your room, the door to which will be open, and Aventurine is waiting for you inside. He will want to cooperate with us, but we can refuse him, and then the interlocutor will try to intimidate us, but Acheron will suddenly appear. After talking with her, you can look around your room.
By the way, you will receive an Aventurine Badge and a new Acheron sticker for your Memory Journal. Now interact with the huge sink filled with water and select the option “Lie in the Dream Bowl.” Then watch a long video.
Inspect the unfamiliar number and find the source of the sound
Once in the world of dreams, first of all study the note that lies on the table. Then you will hear Misha's voice from the picture – interact with him. You will find yourself in another space. Chat with the guy. Next, go upstairs and go through another “door”. Watch another video.
After its completion and conversation with Robin and Sunday, the task will come to an end. As a reward, you will receive 800 experience points, 100 star jades, 6 purified ether, 6 lost crystals, 8 traveler's guides, 88 thousand credits and a melody. Plus, you will have access to the next quest “Sleepless Night.”
