How to get Cloud Forged

Cloud Forged – This is a unique event epic weapon that can only be obtained in the first half of update 4.7, during the Mutual Security Improvement Simulation event.

It is important to remember that the chance to receive any event weapon is given only once, since the developers never rerun global events, so you should not delay obtaining this bow and its elevation materials.

Characteristics of the “Forged from the Clouds” weapon

  • Rarity: 4 stars
  • Base attack: 42 – 510
  • Elemental Mastery bonus: 36 – 165

The bow's passive ability works like this: when the equipped character's amount of energy decreases, the Elemental Mastery value increases by 40 points. This effect lasts a full 18 seconds and can stack up to two times.

How to awaken Cloud Forged

By upgrading a weapon to level 90, we increase its basic characteristics. However, if we want to improve a passive ability, then we need to resort to elevation. Most weapons in Genshin Impact require copies of themselves for this process, but not event epic weapons, which is “Cloud Forged”. To ascend to the fifth level, the bow will require four special awakening materials, which can be obtained by collecting the required number of points from the Mutual Security Enhancement Simulation event. In addition to these awakening materials, you will need 30,000 mora.

The passive ability improvements from increasing the Awakening level are shown in the image: when the equipped character's amount of energy decreases, the Elemental Mastery value increases by 40/50/60/70/80 points.

Chevrons

If you have been playing for a relatively long time, then you should have accumulated quite a lot of chevrons. They spawn literally all over Teyvat, and they can be tracked using the adventure book.

Which heroes “Forged from the Clouds” is suitable

At the time of update 4.7, only the person for whom it was created, that is, Sethos, can fully open the “Forged from the Clouds” bow. Of the archers, only he has the mechanics of spending energy on something other than an elemental explosion charge.

As you know, the set of four Shimenawa Memories artifacts also gives the wearer the ability to spend 15 units of energy in exchange for increasing all types of attacks by 50% for ten seconds, so “Forged from the Clouds” can be used on archers with this set. The main thing to remember is that the second stack of the bow's passive ability can only be collected ten seconds after activating the first, since Shimenawa Memories limits the re-activation of its ability for these same ten seconds.

However, even taking into account the fact that the passive ability of the bow “Forged from the Clouds” can be activated due to the Shimenawa Memories set, it still fits a very meager list of characters.

CharacterAdvantages

Sethos

As already mentioned, Sethos, due to his passive ability “Riddle of the Black Kite,” can convert up to 20 units of accumulated energy into reducing the aiming duration of a charged attack to 0.3 seconds, and activate the bow passive, thereby increasing the maximum potential damage of Sethos, because the damage Shadow Piercing Shots are increased by a whopping 700% of the character's Elemental Mastery. Sethos freely gains two stacks of the passive skill of his signature bow, which increases his MS by 80 units, and with awakenings the increase can reach up to 160 units.

Tignari

Tignari, for lack of alternatives, can also use “Cloud Forged” in the Shimenawa Memories set. The damage of his ultimate and charged attacks is increased by 0.06% of his Elemental Mastery (the total increase cannot be more than 60%). Also, the cooldown of the elemental skill is almost equal to the cooldown of Shimenawa's set, which will allow you to get a double buff to Elemental Mastery from the bow for 6 seconds. However, there are 4-star bows that are much better on Tignari: Stringless, which increases damage and elemental explosion; Crescent prototype – at the fifth awakening, it can compete with legendary bows.

How to effectively use “Forged from the Clouds”

As stated earlier , only Sethos can effectively use this bow, since it does not require the equipped Shimenawa Memories set, which also has a cooldown on the passive ability.

For Sethos with this bow you need to play like this:

  1. Fire a shot with a charged attack so that the character's passive skill takes away some energy from you and activates the first stack of the bow's passive (bonus + 40/50/60/70/80 Elemental Mastery).
  2. Use supports to restore spent energy.
  3. Fire a shot of Piercing Shadow (second charge level) and get a second stack (bonus + 80/100/120/140/160 elemental mastery).

< p>For a character with a set of four pieces of the Shimenawa Memories set, play as follows:

  1. Press an elemental skill to get a bonus to attack damage, and most importantly the first stack of the Cloud Forged passive (bonus + 40/50/60/70/80 Elemental Masteries).
  2. Use supports to restore spent energy.
  3. 10 seconds after completing the first step, if recharging allows, press again eshku, which activates the second level of the passive bow skill (bonus + 80/100/120/140/160 elemental mastery). Ideally, two stacks will last for eight seconds.
