In Hogwarts Legacy, Treasure from the Cursed Tomb is one of the side quests of the game, in which you will need to find the treasure using the Mysterious Map Fragment, found in an abandoned estate. In this guide, we will tell you how to start this quest and where to find the treasure chest.

How to start the quest
- Recommended level: 23 or higher
- Requirement: Complete the “Hurtcote's Helmet” story mission
Having dealt with the indicated conditions, head to the Cape Manor region, located in the southern region of the map, and get to the abandoned estate located in the western part of the location. You can use the Hearth of Ancient Magic icon as a guide. The exact location of the mansion is shown in the screenshots below.
Enter the building through the front entrance, turn left, go around the corner and go down the stairs to the basement. Turn right and open the level 3 locked door with Alohomora III's spell (you'll have to find quite a few demimask figurines).
After going inside, turn right, run forward along the corridor and turn right again to go down the stairs and get into a spacious room. Here you will be attacked by infernals of the 27th level. Deal with them and go to the left room. Here turn into the left passage. Once in a small room with a statue, look to the right and open the chest to find a fragment of a mysterious map.
How to find the treasure from the Mysterious Map Fragment

You can view the map at any time by going to your inventory and going to the Quest Items section. If you are too lazy to deal with the clues indicated on the sheet, then just go to the northern part of the Poidseer Coast region – you need to find the Tomb of Betrayal. Its exact location is shown in the screenshots below.
When you get to the waterfall, sit on the broom and fly right through it to be near the entrance to the crypt. Get inside and run down the tunnel. When you reach the fork, continue to move forward without turning anywhere. At the second fork, turn right to enter a room with an open stone coffin. Incinerate the web on the left with a spell and go through the opened passage.
Entering a small room, you will see a golden door ahead with three moth holes. Deal with a couple of level 27 spiders first, and then take the open door on the right. Here you will find two insects you need at once. Approach any of them and use Lumos to start following you – bring him to the closed doors. Do the same with the second bloodworm.
Now turn to the right passage and burn the web. Going forward, you will find a ledge that you will not be able to jump to without a stand. There will be a box on the left – move it to the foot of the ledge with the help of the Wingardium Leviosa spell or Action, and then climb onto it and climb onto the ledge. There you will find the third moth, which you need to bring to the door.
After opening the door, go further and deal with the next infernals. Here you will find slabs with symbols on the ground. You will need to apply Flippendo (can be learned during the quest “Professor Chesnoke's Challenge 2”) on the stones shown in the screenshot below.

If you did everything right, a chest will appear from the ground – open it to complete the mission. As a reward, you will receive 180 experience points, 400 gold coins and Treasure Seeker Costume.
