Despair to the Sky in Genshin Impact: Which Support Locations to Choose and How to Find Survivors

In Genshin ImpactDespair to the Skies is an Archon quest and part of the Rainbow Doomed to Burn quest chain. In this quest, you'll be choosing your support locations again, deciding which missions to take on. You'll have to fight monsters, destroy Abyssal Gates, and find survivors. How to Start the Mission

It should start automatically immediately after you complete the previous quest in the chain, “Dark Tides Roll In.” Just find it in your journal and start tracking it.

Note that if you have left the game, then to restart this quest you need to move to the teleport to the east of the Stadium of the Holy Flame, and then go to a special pedestal near the entrance to the arena and click on the “Join the Battle” button.

Recommended Commands

So, as in the previous mission, you will have to choose different tasks on the map and help the Natlanians in the battle with the monsters of the Abyss. Note that in most battles you will have to fight a large number of ordinary mobs, which are quite vulnerable to teams that include damage dealers who deal damage over an area. It will also be useful to have heroes of different elements and good healers.

Having fighters who can control the crowd with both the Whirlwind grouping of enemies and their Freeze (Cryo + Hydro) will make it much easier for you to pass the combat trials. The table below shows the most interesting team options.

However, in general, any squads with well-developed characters will do. Therefore, in the absence of the above heroes, you can take any of your strongest teams. Next, let's look at all the combat missions.

Search and Rescue: North (1st Fork)

Select the appropriate mission, and you will automatically be transferred to the battlefield. Here you will have to fight the Hounds of the Rift. Let us remind you that they can cast Decay even through a shield, so your team must have a good healer. The battle will be quite difficult, since there are several enemies at once.

After dealing with all the enemies, start looking for survivors. To do this, approach the Fatui skirmisher leaning against the ledge (see the screenshots below). You will see that they are all dead, but under the wooden platform you will be able to find Ioba and her daughter Osawa. You will escort them to the stadium. There, talk to the courier Lluyak to continue the mission (note that if you previously helped Raman in the quest “Message from the Surviving Courier”, you will meet him instead of the girl).

Search and Rescue: South (1st Fork)

Select the appropriate task, and you will be automatically transferred to the battlefield. Here you will have to fight with infected zavrivans who fight with ordinary dragons. Note that there will be quite a lot of enemies, so get ready for a protracted battle. After destroying all opponents, talk to the surviving hunters.

You will then automatically return to the stadium. Like in the previous mission, you will be met here by either Lluyak or Raman. Chat with the courier and proceed to the next task.

Unleashed Fierce Beasts

Click the icon and teleport to a new area. Then run to the platform and engage in combat with the Hilichurls. After dealing with the Mitachurl and the archers, you will encounter a special Hilichurl Outcast. The thing is, it will have a barrier, like the gates of the Abyss. To destroy it, you will need to use elemental attacks.

This enemy is quite tenacious and can deal a lot of damage, so try to dodge its attacks and deal elemental damage. When the shield falls, the Hilichurl will fall to its knees, and you can finish it off quite easily. Next, start looking for survivors. To do this, go to the house and interact with the door.

Note: If you have previously completed the “Siege” quest, then Achiyaka will help you in the battle. Otherwise, he will come running only at the end of the battle.

You will find Kunak and Libek. They will also decide to take up arms. After watching the video, start completing the next task.

Search and Rescue: South (2nd fork)

This option will appear if in the previous fork you chose “Search and Rescue: North”. However, this version will differ from the original. For example, after arriving at the location, you will not find living saurians – you will immediately be attacked by infected dragonets, and in very large numbers.

After dealing with the enemies, climb the wooden tower located nearby to find a lonely baby yumkasaurus at the top. Talk to him and advise him to go to the stadium.

Search and Rescue: North (2nd Fork)

This option will appear if you chose Search and Rescue: South in the previous fork. However, this version will differ from the original. Having moved to the specified location, you will immediately enter into a fight with the Rift Hounds. There will be quite a lot of them, so do not forget to take a healer.

Unlike the original, where you found a mother and child under a wooden platform, there will be no survivors here, so you will have to immediately proceed to the next mission.

Endless Echo

After moving to the desired area, run forward. You will see how the Natlanians fight hordes of Abyssal monsters, among which will be an Electro Abyssal Mage (so we do not recommend taking Electro damage dealers). First, deal with the gates that constantly summon new enemies, and only then take on the elimination of enemies.

After dealing with the enemies, talk to the warriors. Note that if you previously helped Chimalli in the mission “Echo in the Gorge”, there will be many more people here now, including one saurian. The survivors will decide to retreat to the Echo Children settlement. At this time, you will see a comet heading towards the Spring People village.

Darkness Flowers

After moving to the entrance to the settlement, run forward. You will see a huge Abyss tumor. Next, you will have a battle with the Rift Hounds. Let us remind you that they can inflict Decay, so be sure to take plenty of food and healers. You will not be able to destroy the “flower”. Then go to the body of the Natlan and study the details of the battle. You decide to continue fighting the Abyss.

The Endgame and Echoes Are Approaching

Accept the next quest, then board the balloon. From the air, you will be able to assess the scale of the disaster that has befallen Natlan. Soon you will fly to the desired point. You will need to help the warriors in the battle with the Hounds of Rift.

Once you've dealt with them, chat with the survivors. You can also chat with Mastla and Nellan separately before moving on. Open the map again and select the next objective.

Meeting with the Evacuation Group

After moving to the entrance to the Echo Children settlement, go down and talk to Kachina and Shelonen. Next, you will have to fight monsters, and Shelonen will join your group. Let us remind you that she is an excellent support, capable of cutting down enemy resistance (E-shka) and healing the active character (ult).

Go down the stairs and deal with the ghostly mitachurl (you will need to destroy its shield with elemental attacks) and the hilichurls (we advise you to deal with the regular mobs first). Then go up and kill the ghostly automaton, which will also have a barrier.

Now jump down to the bottom of the ravine and destroy the Abyss Gate. You can ignore the enemies, as they will disappear immediately once you destroy the portal. Then go forward to the next quest marker. After another conversation with Shilonen, keep running forward until you see Kachina and the survivors.

Defeat the monsters surrounding Chaska and Kuichi

After chatting with your friends, head to the Flower Feather Clan, but on the way there you will find Chaska and a wounded Kuichi. Engage in a fight with the monsters that have surrounded the sisters. First, deal with the Hilichurls, and then take on the ghostly Mitachurl. Remember that to destroy its shield, you need to use elemental attacks.

After dealing with the enemies, talk to the sisters. Unfortunately, you won't be able to save Kouichi. However, Chaska will be the last hero needed to carry out Mavuiki's plan. Together, you will return to the stadium.

Go to the center of the Stadium and watch the gathering of heroes

You can go straight to the center of the arena or first look around to talk to the characters you saved earlier during previous missions and assignments. However, you will find Komina next to the column in any case. She will be watching over Kouichi's body, preparing it for burial.

Near the merchandise counter you will find Quispe. If you complete the Siege, you will find her in the company of Mayaeul.

Go to the exit of the room, and on the right you will be able to find Raman– the courier who will appear here if you helped him in the mission “Message from the Surviving Courier”.

Go a little further. You will find a Yumkasaurus Cub on the left near the fruit stand if you first completed “Search and Rescue: North” and then “Search and Rescue: South”.

Go forward and to the left of the spice stalls you will be able to find Avkhina if you previously talked to her during the mission “Saving Important Supplies”.

Continue heading towards the exit, and near the corridor you will find Yobu along with his daughter Osawa, if you have completed Search and Rescue: North first, and then Search and Rescue: South.

After leaving the building, you will see the warrior Uturunku on the right. Apparently, he will get to the stadium if you talked to him as part of the mission “Open-Air Rescue”.

Go down the stairs. You will see Kunak and Libek. If you have completed the Siege mission, there will be other survivors next to them. Otherwise, they will be standing alone.

Opposite the entrance to the arena you will find Harongaand his squad. They will appear here if you have completed Search and Rescue: South first, and then Search and Rescue: North.

After talking to all the rescued characters, you can go down to the arena. Then watch a long epic video with all the heroes of Natlan uniting. At the end, chat with Chaska.

This will complete the mission. As a reward, you will receive 1225 Adventure Points, 53 thousand Mora, 5 Hero Books, and 10 Magic Enhancement Ore. Plus, you will have access to the next quest in the chain “No One Fights Alone.”
