In God of War Ragnarok, dragon scale armor is one of the best sets in the game, which significantly increases the strength and defense of the hero, and also increases the effectiveness of parrying and blocking enemy attacks. However, for its crafting and full pumping, a large number of dragon claws and teeth are required. In this guide, we will tell you where you can get all these materials.
How to find dragon teeth and claws
As soon as you kill your first dragon in the Crater (Vanaheim) location, blueprints for creating a breastplate, bracelets and a belt from dragon scales should appear in the gnome forge. To craft a complete set, you will have to spend 22 teeth and 1 dragon claw, as well as 34 thousand chopped silver. To get the required amount of resources, it is enough to kill several draks and one dragon.
If you need to fully upgrade your armor, then get ready to complete a series of lengthy requests and story tasks, as well as find a secret dragon located in Svartalfheim. Next, we will indicate all the places where you can get the claws and teeth of the dragon.
A request issued automatically when visiting the Crater. As part of it, you will need to defeat a dragon named Crimson Horror. For killing him, they give two claws. In a separate guide, we talked in detail about completing this task.
A request issued automatically after passing to the dam in the Jungle and the appearance of the river. In it, you will need to find and kill two drek, reinforced with lightning. For killing them, you will immediately receive eight dragon teeth. In a separate guide, we talked in detail about completing this task.
Path of the Dead

The Path of Destruction
A request issued automatically after finding a huge footprint on the ground and visiting the monster's lair in the Jungle. In it, you have to kill Slaghorn, thereby obtaining two teeth and one dragon claw. In a separate guide, we talked in detail about completing this task.
Dead of Night
Automatic request when Blue is found footprints on a ledge in the western part of the left bank of the Plains. In it you will need to find and deal with the dreck, for the murder of which four dragon teeth are issued at once. In a separate guide, we talked in detail about the passage of this task.
The Trembling Gorge
A request issued automatically after the occurrence of strong earth tremors near the entrance to the Wells. In it, you will need to find the source of vibrations and deal with Skalozub, for killing which they give one claw and two dragon teeth. In a separate guide, we talked in detail about the passage of this task.
A request issued automatically after a dragon is found near the round arena in the Wells location. You will need to find the Ash Tyrant's lair and then kill him. For destroying it, you will receive two dragon claws. In a separate guide, we talked in detail about completing this task.
Automatic request upon discovery the first half of the key in the Forbidden Sands. You will need to find the second part, and then unlock the huge gate in the desert and defeat Stonemaw. For killing him, they give two teeth and one claw of the dragon. In a separate guide, we talked in detail about the passage of this task.
Complete the story quest “Payback” ( Vanaheim) to travel to the Delta by boat. Here you will immediately be given the appropriate request, leading to the Goddess Falls, located on the south side.
Complete all main objectives of the side quest, then return to the boat on the shore (its exact location is shown in the screenshots above). When you approach it, two drek immediately attack you at once. Deal with them to get eight dragon teeth.
To find this ice lizard, you must first find all 48 Odin's ravens, and then head to Niflheim and open 6 legendary chests. Immediately after this, the Guardian boss will appear – follow her into the arena and start the battle.
When the witch is below half her health, she will summon a dragon named Pale to help. This is not a very dangerous opponent, but two claws fall out of it.
Note that when completing the story missions “In Search of Tyr” and “Beasts of Prophecy” you will encounter three drek, from which twelve dragon teeth will fall out. By the way, they will most likely allow you to craft the entire set.
Secret Eternal Dragon
To fight this secret boss, you will first need to travel to Midgard and find a relic called the Mystic Legacy there. Magic statues can be brought to life with this item.
Now head to Svartalfheim and sail to the southeastern area of Blessed Cove where you'll find Dragon Coast. Moor near the pier and run towards the large dragon statue (its exact location is shown in the screenshots below). Then use the relic by pressing L1 + “circle” to awaken the boss.
The battle with this enemy is not much different from the battles with other flying dragons. The main thing is not to forget to throw spears at him when he dives at you in the sky or tries to breathe fire (a vulnerable point appears on his neck) to knock him down. For killing this enemy, you will receive three dragon claws and the Strength of Jotunheim (amulet enchantment).
Dragonscale armor stats
As we noted above, this set significantly increases the Strength and Defense of the hero, therefore, not only his ability to deal damage increases, but also his defense. The set bonuses also contribute to this:
- Increases all types of shield damage. On a successful parry or block, damage from the shield is dealt to nearby enemies.
- Parries and blocks gradually increase Defense and Strength. The buff disappears when you take damage.
< p>To get the maximum effect from this armor, you will need to learn how to perfectly block and parry enemy attacks, as well as dodge unblockable attacks in time so as not to take damage. In this case, you will constantly increase the damage you deal.
Dragonscale armor may well be the best set in God of War Ragnarok for players who prefer not to go on rampage and can parry enemy attacks.
