Ghost Stories Quest Walkthrough
It starts automatically on December 17 if you completed the previous mission called “Test of Courage”. Open your quest log (J) and start tracking a new quest.
Return to the test site
Travel to the Chinju Forest and look for Arataki Itto to the right of the archway. Chat with him, and then turn to the worker, expressing a desire to participate in the second test of courage. She will say that you will again need to choose a partner to participate in the competition.

Whom to choose as a partner
Like last time, you will be given a choice of three characters: Eimiya (standing on the other side of the river, next to the teleport), Sayu (located to the right of the priestess) and Toma (standing a little more to the right). You can communicate with everyone before making the final decision. Note that this does not affect the ending of the task in any way, but only slightly changes the dialogues.

After choosing a companion you like, chat with the priestess again to start the second trial.
How to complete the second round and find the fan
As in the previous part of the quest chain, you will need to find a special item by following the signs. At first, just run forward along the stone path right up to the first steps and the red arch. Turn left here.
Run to the river and follow it. Near the sign with the arrow, turn left again and cross the river ford. Move forward, go past the tanuki statues, and then turn right. Ahead you will see a white triangle indicating the location of the fan box.

Play Akitsu Yugei
After finding the right thing, talk to Itto, who was able to catch the kids in masks. Then watch a colorful video. Next, head to the coast where the Akitsu Yugei game is located. Near the sign you will find a mysterious woman that you encountered in the previous quest.
You will need to play a yokai mini-game with her. To do this, select the “Participate in Akitsu Yugei” option marked with an exclamation point. Here you have to destroy normal, Hydro and Electro blocks, so we advise you to take Cryo and Pyro heroes to create reactions. As for Yugei's tactics, choose: duplicate collider or impact accelerator and relative expansion.

Switch to the Hero's Cryo first (do this twice to expand the platform), and then quickly destroy the Hydro Blocks. At the end, you can take the hero's Pyro to destroy the remaining ordinary and Electro cubes.
You don't have to try too hard, as your main goal is to destroy all the blocks in 10 minutes. The number of points received does not affect the victory in any way, since you will lose anyway. The mysterious woman wishes to never see you again.
Talk to the worker and Heizo
Return to the Chinju forest to the area indicated on the map. There, chat with youkai and participants in past trials. Then contact the worker again. It won't be in the right place though, so chat with Heizo.

This completes the quest. As a reward, you will receive 30 Source Stones, 2 Hero XP, 20,000 Pestilence, and 4 Enchantment Magic Ores. The next quest in the chain called “The Flow of Life” will become available to you on December 20.
