Hall of Opet in Genshin Impact: how to solve riddles and find chests

In Genshin Impact, the Hall of Opet is an underground shrine located in the Sumeru Desert that holds many secrets. To get treasure chests, dendrocules and tablets hidden in it, you need to carefully explore it and solve a series of puzzles. In this guide, we will tell you how to get to this area and solve all its mysteries.

How to find and get to the Hall of Opet

You can get into this location for the first time and unlock the teleport to it will be part of a world quest called “The Secret of al-Ahmar”. However, you will probably miss most of the mysteries and secrets of this place when completing this mission, so it makes sense to return here a second time. To do this, simply move to the teleport north of the tomb of King Deshret, shown in the pictures below.

If you forgot to activate the teleportation point during the above quest, then open the Red Sands Slab, go to the Descent into the Depths category, select the desired location from the list and click on the inscription “Go” to display the corresponding label on the map. You can also follow the route that we have indicated just below.

We advise you to definitely open the 4th level of Power so that you can interact with all the plinths of secret rites in these ruins.

How to explore the Hall of Opet and solve all the puzzles

First of all, we advise you to familiarize yourself with the maps of the corresponding location. As you can see, it is connected to many caves and other tombs. We will partially cover these areas in this guide.

We add that we will begin our exploration of the sanctuary from the teleport near the Hall of Sechem, since along the way you can find a lot of valuable gizmos. After moving there, fly over to the other side and go into the underground tunnel. Climb up the stairs, open the door with the console and enter a spacious cave.

Hilichurls and a normal chest

Ahead you will see a blocked chest surrounded by hilichurls and mitachurls. Deal with the enemies, and then inspect the contents of the chest.

Eternal Light Cell Puzzle

Next, go down to the very bottom of the cave, go a little to the left and climb onto the roof of the building covered with sand from the opposite side. It contains two cells of eternal light and a locked chest.

First of all, develop a pile of sand in the far corner with any Anemo attack. Then rotate the right cell once so that it starts to automatically rotate, and move the prism of the left cell to the other side. As a result, the rays will hit the crystals, and the chest will be unlocked.

Mushroom and Stump Puzzle

After solving the previous puzzle, jump off the roof and turn right. Ahead you will see several mushrooms standing around a stump. Do not attack the mobs – instead climb into the stump and take the mushroom from there.

After that, you can fight the enemies. Once you deal with them, a regular chest will appear. If it didn't work the first time, then try to visit this place later, when the mushrooms respawn again.

Lavachurl and an amazing chest

From the stump, move to the right and deeper into the cave. Soon you will see a locked amazing chest and lavachurl ahead. Deal with all opponents to take the drawing of the “Painted Vase: Black Stone” decor item from the chest.

Pile of stones and a chest

Climb up the slope, enter the passage, go through the tunnel and look for a stack of pebbles near destroyed wall. Interact with her to get pestilence.

Now you can move to the teleport, which we told you about at the very beginning of the article. After teleporting, use the four leaf symbols to fly to the other side. On the left, look for a locked chest near Camp Fatui.

Deal with all enemies in the given area, and then take the contents of the chest.

Time Trial to collect Dendro particles

From the previous location, return to the stairs leading straight to the Hall of Opet and move to the right to the red test mark. Interact with her to start the challenge – you need to collect 8 Dendro Particles in 40 seconds. Collect the first three green orbs using two quatrefoils.

Then go downstairs and pick up two more Dendro particles. On the ledge on the other side, you can collect the remaining three green orbs. Use the 4-leaf symbol to fly over the gorge. Completing the challenge will reward you with a normal chest.

Accompany the fairy

After examining the chest from the previous challenge, turn right and you will see the fairy. Start following her as you move towards the Hall of Opet. Her house is near the stairs. As a reward for escorting you will receive a regular chest.

Dendroculus

After accompanying the fairy, climb up the nearby pillar. At the top you will find an oculus.

Tablets and a pile of stones

Then turn around and go down the slope to the tent. Inside it you will find Tablet: Rise.

Go back a bit and climb up to the ledge on the left side where you found the fairy earlier. Go through the tunnel and jump down from the ledge. Here you will find a stack of stones (gives 10,000 mora) and Tablet: Thunderclap.

Fatui Camp and Rich Chest< /h3>

Use the air current, wind rings, and the four-leaf symbol to climb up and fly over to the other side. Go a little further into the cave and deal with Fatui's group to unlock the rich chest.

Tablet in a hidden passage

After inspecting a rich chest, turn the camera to the left and you will see a small crack in the rock, which can be easily overlooked. Go through it and pick up Tablet: Head of a Crocodile near the wall.

How to get through the invisible wall near teleport

Return to the teleportation point near the bridge and turn left. You will see a passage blocked by an invisible barrier that glows blue when approached. If you want to go through it, then turn around, turn right and jump down.

After descending, immediately turn left and go into a spacious cave. After taking a few steps forward, turn around and turn the camera up – you will see a four-leafed symbol. Interact with him to climb the ledge. Then go through the passage. Congratulations, you've removed the barrier.

Regular chest and tablet

From the teleport near the destroyed bridge, move to the other side, and then go up the stairs and turn left towards the Fatui camp. Deal with all the enemies here to unlock a regular chest.

Then turn left and go down a bit down the rubble. There you will find the Tablet: Danger.

Phantom Torch Puzzle

From the previous place, climb the ladder and finally enter the Hall of Opet itself. Go around the device in the center and the wall on the left side and unlock the cage of truth on the right by interacting with the plinth. Then touch the mechanism and turn left into the passage.

Here you will find a Dendroculus and four Phantom Torches that you need to manifest by approaching them when you have a golden triangle hanging over your head (tap the cage again to restore it). Next, light these Pyro torches in any order with attacks.

A tablet, a pile of stones and a regular chest

Leave the Hall of Opet, go to the bridge and jump down. Then enter the passage leading to the lower tier of the ruins. Once inside, turn right and pick up Tablet: Hallway Valley.

Turn right and touch the pile of pebbles for 15,000 mora. Keep going forward, open the door with the pedestal and go down the stairs. Turn right at the fork and go down the ladder again. In the new room, deal with the molders and take the contents of the unlocked regular chest.

Puzzle with ghostly torches and a cage of truth

Go back and climb up the stairs. At the top, deal with the original construction. During the fight, you will surely break the vase standing nearby. The primordial luminary is hidden in it. Pick it up and place it on the illuminated platform to reveal the Cage of Truth.

Interact with her so that you can materialize ghostly torches. Their location will be indicated by a fairy hovering nearby (see the screenshot above). Approach the spirit and start following it. In total, you need to find and light 4 torches. All of them are shown in the images below. Once activated, an amazing chest will spawn in the middle of the room.

Next, bring the fairy to the pedestal above (go up the stairs) to get a regular chest.

Primal Clock Puzzle

After accompanying the fairy, go to the right side of the location. There, near the columns, you will find the first primordial clock. They are surrounded by a blue barrier that can be bypassed on the left side near the destroyed pillar. You won't be able to activate them yet.

Go back to the center of the hall and go to the closed door on the right side – open it with the pedestal next to it. On the right, you will find a primordial star, and on the left, a replicator. Pick up the pyramid and stand on the platform to create a second pristine clock.

Wait a bit until the luminary appears again, and then pick it up and run to the left side of the hall. There you will find another replicator behind the barrier. Go around it from the far end and stand on the platform for the third hourglass to spawn.

Now you can take on the challenge – you will need to turn three hourglasses in 30 seconds. We advise you to start with the second clock, located behind the door in the corridor. Then run to the main hall and turn over the remaining objects. Do not forget that they are behind barriers, so avoid them in advance. As a reward, you will receive a regular chest.

Add that in this room you can find a Dendroculus – it hangs upstairs near one of the walls. To get to it, you need to climb the left wall. Otherwise, you will hit the blue barrier with your head.

The puzzle with four cells of eternal light

After collecting the eyepiece, go down and go through the passage to a new room with a locked precious chest and four mechanisms on the right and left sides.

To remove the barrier from the chest, turn the nearest device on the right once, and the one farthest on the right twice, as shown in the first picture below. Go to the left side and turn the mechanism closest to the exit from the room two times, and the one farthest once. As a result, they will all be rotated to the center, and you will unlock a precious chest.

Primal Obelisk
