Where to find Hel Rifts in God of War Ragnarok
Hel Rifts are gaps between worlds that walkers can pass through and wreak havoc everywhere. To close the portal, you need to approach it, interact with it, and then fight off enemies for a certain period of time. Battles usually last a few minutes.
Note that you will close the very first rift almost at the very beginning of the story quest « Reunion”, that is, it is impossible to miss it. Therefore, in the guide we will indicate the location of the five Hel Rifts.
Hel Rift 1
- Region: Helheim
- Location: The Gleaming Bale
It can also be found as part of the Reunion quest, and you are unlikely to If you pass it, the portal appears right on your main path.
Hel Rift 2
- Region: Svartalfheim
- Location: Aurvanga Swamps< /li>
Can be found after completing Reunion. Travel to the Mystic Gate in the swamps of Aurvang. Swim up the river to the north until you are about halfway through. Land right in front of the giant wheel. Use the grapple point and cross the ledge and then go down the chain. The portal is on the other side.
Hel Rift 3
- Region: Svartalfheim
- Location: Strand
Can be found after completing Reunion. Go to the Mystic Gate in Strand. Go through the arch located in front, to the right of the statue. Jump down and a portal will appear right in front of you.
Hel Rift 4
- Region: Vanaheim
- Location: Southern Wastes
Can be found after completing Reunion. Travel to the Mystic Gate in the Southern Wastes and the portal will be clearly visible straight ahead on the right.
Hel Rift 5
- Region: Midgard
- Location: Well of Urd
Can be found after completing Reunion. Return to the Lake of Nine and follow the northwest path to the Well of Urd. Climb up the ledge and squeeze through the crack in the ice. A little ahead you will find a portal.
When you find all the tears, you will complete the “Hel's Payment” request. As a reward, you will be given 4500 experience points for Kratos, 1125 experience points for Atreus, Essence of Hel and an ice spark.
