In God of War Ragnarok, Muspelheim is one of the nine worlds, to enter which you need to find two halves of the seed of Yggdrasil, opening a passage to the Crucible. You can find these keys to the mystical gates in certain legendary chests. In this guide, we will tell you where you can find them.

Note that in this fiery dimension, you can complete various challenges, receiving valuable rewards for this, including good armor sets. After completing them, you will complete a side mission called “The Crucible”.
Where to find the seeds of Muspelheim
Two halves of the Muspelheim Seed will be enough to open the corresponding Mystic Gates, but there are four such items in total in the game (two of them are additional in case you missed the previous ones). We'll list the location of all the seeds.
Muspelheim Half Seed 1
- Region: Svartalfheim
- Location: Modwitnir's Machine
< p>You will be able to find him during or after the passage of the story mission “Search for Tyr”. The desired area, located in the Fertile Bay, can be reached by completing the secondary task “In the Service of Asgard”, issued by the musician in the Nidavellir Inn.

If you didn't accept the request, just swim to the left in the bay. When you get to the pier, get off the land, climb the wall, go right and throw the ax at the post – you will raise the portcullis and you will be able to climb the wooden turret. Fight opponents and go a little further to find the chest.
Half Muspelheim Seed 2
- Region: Svartalfheim
< li>Location: Alberich Gorge
You will be able to find it after completing the “Forge of Your Destiny” story mission. First, get to the Dragon Coast, located in the southeast of Blessed Bay. Directly here, by the way, is the request “Rebel Spirit”, issued by Durlin. To get to the desired location, climb up the golden chain located on the beach, and then use the spear, thereby rising even higher.

Next, cross the bridge and turn left, entering a small cave with enemies. Deal with them, and then go a little further, take the bomb from the vessel and throw it into the deposit to free the golden chest.
Muspelheim 3 Half Seed
- Region: Vanaheim
- Location: Camp Freyr
You will be able to find it after completing the “Beasts of Prophecy” story mission. Swim to the above location on the boat from the Mystic Gate, and then use the spears to overcome the rocks. Then go around the rock on the left before entering the camp. You will notice a stone that can be destroyed with a spear. A chest will immediately appear in front of you.

- Region: Muspelheim

You can find him during or after completing the “Summon” story mission. Get to the Mystic Gate in the indicated location, and then jump down and go right into the first cave. In it you will find this chest.

How to get to the Furnace (Muspelheim)
Once you have both halves of the Muspelheim seed in your hands, you can go to the Crucible location at any time. To do this, you simply need to interact with any nearby Mystic Gates and open the corresponding area.

Climbing down, you will find a chest with runes in the center of the arena. To open it, you will need to complete 6 basic challenges. After them, there will be 9 more difficult combat missions with valuable rewards.
How to get more Yggdrasil seeds
Basically, you will receive Yggdrasil Seeds as you progress through the story. The only exceptions are Muspelheim seeds, which are optional. However, after completing all the main missions, you may well have blocked Mystic Gates in different regions, so you will probably be interested to know where you can get additional seeds.
To do this, after completing the story quest “Battle of the Worlds” go to Sindri's house and chat there with a squirrel named Ratatoskr. If it is not on the lower branch, then throw an ax at the bell to summon the little animal. He will give you several Yggdrasil seeds at once, which will be enough to activate all the remaining Mystic Gates in the game.
