How to level up a player in a card game
To check your current player level, you need to go to the Cat's Tail Tavern located in the city of Mondstadt and talk to the cat named Prince sitting on the counter.
The menu that opens will also show your player experience and the number of points you need to get to the next level. These points are obtained through the following actions:
- Participation in duels in the open world.
- Conducting weekly guest challenges in the tavern.
Duels with NPCs in the open world
The fastest and relatively simple way to get player points, and up to level 2, the only one at all. For defeating entry-level rivals, they usually give 120 experience points. The higher the level of the enemy, the more “exp” you will get.
Let's add that experience is given only for matches of “Adventure”, which are related to easy difficulty. To search for opponents, you should use your Card Box. For more information about finding NPCs who are ready to play cards with you, we told in a separate guide. There are also short tips for defeating a particular character.
Weekly Guest Challenges
Starting at player level 2, you will be able to participate in a new type of duel. The fact is that every week “Cat's Tail” will be visited by 4 opponents with whom you can play cards. They will include both normal NPCs and playable heroes, and their decks will differ from those they use in the open world or by invitation.
As a reward for defeating them, you will receive lucky coins and player experience (even the first duels will bring you at least 200 “exp”). The higher your level, the more valuable the reward will be. However, duels will become more and more difficult.
Let's add that until level 4, new guests will appear one per day. When you level up to the specified value, all 4 opponents will arrive at the institution on Monday, so you can fight them all in one day.
Not enough experience to level up
In a day, pumping up to level 10 will not work with all your desire. The fact is that there are not enough NPCs in the open world for this, and you can only fight with 4 guest characters per week.
For this reason, if you do not have enough experience points to increase the level, then we can only advise you to wait until next Monday to beat the 4 new opponents in the tavern.

Trials of Ascension
Once you reach level 2 and reach the required number of points to advance to the next level, you will find that you cannot advance to level 3. The fact is that for this you will need to pass the Trial of Ascension first. To launch it, you need to talk to the Prince and select the appropriate line of dialogue.
There are four such tests in total: access to them opens at the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 9th levels of the player. They allow you to increase the level limit and open access to additional features. In addition, you will receive a new rank. The table below shows all of these options and rewards.

Ascension Challenge: Adept

A relatively simple battle, for which we do not recommend taking Cryo characters, since their attacks will be ineffective when a mitachurl appears on the playing board, which will immediately hang a frost shield on itself (to destroy it, you need to use a Pyro attack, for example, Dilyuk's elemental skill).
New mobs will appear on the field after the death of the previous ones. In addition to the mitachurl, certain difficulties can arise with the shamachurl, since with the help of his abilities he will heal himself and allies – try to kill him with one attack as soon as he becomes active. He almost always has a Hydro status, so Dilyuk's elemental skill will be enough to kill him quickly.
You can also add Fischl to your squad, who, along with Oz, will help you trigger useful elemental reactions such as Overload, Superconductor and Charged. Plus, she is able to deal Penetrating Damage (hitting inactive character cards as well) with an elemental explosion.
As for action cards, at this level you are unlikely to have much variety in them. The main thing is to take weapons and artifacts suitable for your heroes.
