Diving into the exploration of the new northern area of Li Yue added As of Patch 4.4 in Genshin Impact, you may come across an incense altar and a gated passage – they are part of one of the larger Chengyu Valley puzzles. Solving the riddle involves finding four important materials: the Chizhang and Huangcun fragrant trees and two jade fragments. Where is the incense vessel on the Chizhang Wall
The area of interest to us is located in the center of the Chizhang Wall location, east of Geo Archon statues on the Southern Chenyu Hills.

When you first touch the altar in the center of the indicated area, you will be able to see a scene with an overview of two other locations that you will need to walk through to open the central lattice behind the vessel with incense.
It is not necessary to visit this location – you can immediately go to collect all the important items (two pieces of fragrant wood and pieces of jade).
In this article, we will go to places with tiles of aromatic wood, open the grate and pick up the rewards in the sanctuary, and in another guide we will tell you where the fragments of the jade mechanism are and what they are needed for.
< h2>How to collect fragrant trees Chizhang and Huangtsun
As mentioned above, when you first interact with the main altar in front of the grate on the Chizhang wall, we will be shown a long-range plan with the locations of two other vessels (western and eastern). The order of visiting is not important, but we will start from the east, then go to the west, and only then return to the place with the main puzzle.
First area: get Huangtsun Fragrant Wood
Get to the teleportation point northwest of the Suanni boss arena- hermit and jump down to the ruins. After clearing the area of a group of bandits, you can begin solving the puzzle with jade columns.

We select a piece of a column lying on the western side of the site (we were digging around it bandits). To capture an object, cast the special Adept skill on it (T button on PC). Next to the fragment there is a square foundation, flickering with an emerald glow – you need to install the extracted part of the column on it (pointing the camera towards the slab, hold down the skill button and select the correct location to install the column).
Once the first pillar is in place, a passage into the ruins will open ahead. Go inside and pick up another piece of the column. It will need to be installed on the shimmering foundation in front of the stairs in the east of the site.
Turn the camera back and take the very first pillar – it needs to be placed on the flickering square above the stairs on the left. Repeat the installation steps, after which another grate will open nearby.
Go to the room that you managed to unlock: inside there will be a destructible stone pile , and under it is a piece of a stone arch and an ordinary chest. We select and go towards the altar in the south of the explored area.
Install the found fragment on the first foundation area on the way to the altar.< /p>
Point the camera at the column that was installed in front of the stairs and take it back – it needs to be placed on the flickering square before the second rise to the vessel.
And finally, look at the pillar that opened the passage to the ruins with a stone blockage – it can also be taken from afar by simply pressing the Adept skill key. It remains to be placed on the foundation to the right of the altar.
At the end of solving the puzzle, when all the columns are in place in in the right order, we will have the opportunity to touch the altar and pick up the first tile of the fragrant tree. An unlocked precious chest will also be waiting there.
Second area: get the Chizhang Fragrant Tree.
Next you can go in search of the second wooden tile, to get which you will have to solve exactly the same puzzle with the installation of jade pillars. The second altar stands on the ruins south of the nearby Archon statue.
At the ruins we need, we will immediately encounter a pair of ruin mechanisms near the inactive big robot. Deal with the mobs, and then pat and kick the “sleeping” enemy – he will wake up and immediately attack. Deal with him too.
Under the defeated robot, a grate will open, and at the bottom there will be the first part of the column + regular chest.
It must be placed on the glowing tile in the middle of the stairs in front of the altar (it is located north of the gang of defeated robots).
Turn the camera back and run straight to a small ditch (see the screenshot above for the exact location). There is a column here that will have to be placed on a pedestal behind the altar.
To find the last column, jump off the cliff to the west after activating your wings. Fly through the hole in the wall and take the post. After receiving it, the grate in front of you should rise and open the way up.
Run to the stairs and, without climbing, place the column on the first highlighted one square to the left, thus completing the solution and activating the altar.
All that remains is to go up and touch the vessel, thereby receiving the Chizhang tablet and removing the blocking ring from another precious casket.
Third area: open the grate behind the vessel on the Chizhang Wall
When you have both Incense Wood Planks, return to the place with the main vessel for incense (repeated the location on the map above) and read the note on the vessel again.
At the end, you can provide the found tablets as an offering – select them from the automatically opened luggage. If everything is done correctly, the grate behind the vessel will automatically open.
How to get chests in the ruins on the Chizhang Wall
Inside the opened room, similar to a sanctuary, as many as three caskets await us : one luxury and two regular. But as soon as we get closer to the rewards, a huge robot thresher will awaken to the right of the entrance.
Attack the enemy and reduce his HP to at least half. At some point, Paimon will notice the glow of jade at the end of the room. Point the camera in his direction and click the Adept skill (T key on PC) – there will be a surge of energy that finishes off a formidable enemy (but you can defeat it on your own).
Now all rewards are available for collection, and along with them, interaction with the jade that helped us in the depths of the sanctuary.
