How to wait for the attack with destructive waves
First, make sure that you have passed the second Raiden legends quest “Chapter 2: Fleeting Dreams”. During it, access to the dungeon End of the Kingdom of Oneiros will open, in which the boss you need is located.
Teleport to the dungeon. During the fight, you don't have to lower the health of the boss, but for convenience, you can choose a level 60 dungeon to take less damage yourself. It is also recommended to take any Electro character in the squad to quickly activate the Flowers of Memories and avoid the powerful attack of the Defender of Eternity.
After the challenge begins, wait for the boss to change into Radiant Shadowlord form and activate his Electro Shield. You will recognize the necessary attack by the dark ball growing behind the enemy, as well as by three spears stuck in the ground, from which damage will come.
There are several ways to avoid the destructive waves below.
First way: jumping over the waves
This method is available to all players, as it does not require the use of unique character skills. The easiest way to overcome the waves is either with heroes of medium height or characters with adult models.
When Magatsu mitake Narukami no mikoto starts to create spears, run as far away from her as possible to better respond to attacks.
The first six waves will come out alternately from each spear in two circles. Your job is to just stand still and press jump when the momentum gets close to you.
During the seventh wave, you will have to avoid impulses from three spears at once, with two of them attacking at the same time. Randomly, either first one spear will create a ring, and then the other two spears will release impulses, or vice versa – two rings will attack, and the third will end the wave with a single ring. In any case, to overcome the last wave, you need to make two jumps without stopping.
Note: If you are playing as a tall character (e.g. Keia, Lisa, Touma, Ning Guang), the last wave can be completed in one jump. To do this, you need to dash forward and jump before the first impulse in order to land already beyond the boundary of the last impulse.
Second method: wind currents
This is one of the easiest methods for which you need Venti. If you don't have this character, you can complete the achievement in co-op with a person who owns this legendary hero.
As soon as the Defender of Eternity plunges the spears into the ground, activate Venti's elemental skill with a long press. After that, use the glider to climb the wind current and just wait. The action of the elemental ability is enough to wait out all seven destructive waves.
Third way: Wind's Chosen state
This method is a little more complicated than the previous one, but it will also allow you to avoid being hit by waves while in the air. Here you will need to use the elemental skill of the Wanderer.
After waiting for the desired attack, let the impulse come to you for a certain distance, and then activate the hero's elemental ability. At the same time, you do not need to fly higher or fly across the field – in this case, the Stranger will not be able to hold out in a hovering state for a long time.
At some point, the hero will begin to sink to the ground, but while you are floating in the air, the impulses will not touch you. If done correctly, the Wind's Chosen state will last exactly until all the waves pass under you.
The difficulty lies in the fact that the duration of the Wind's Chosen state is much shorter than that of Venti's elemental skill. If you are afraid that you will not be able to activate the Wanderer's ability in time, you can pre-install the Geo construct of the Traveler or Zhong Li. The structures themselves will collapse after the third wave hits, so you can wait two hits and use the hero's elemental skill before the third to buy yourself extra time.
Temporary measures to avoid waves
Some characters' skills can help you avoid several destructive waves. You can use them to make the challenge easier.
The elemental abilities of Kazuha and Ke Qing will allow them to stay in the air for a while. After choosing the last heroine, hold her elemental skill and throw Thunder Stiletto into the air, then teleport to him and spread the glider. When using Kazuha, it is also recommended to use a long press to increase the hero's jump height.
Xiao's elemental skill will allow him to jump several waves with his mid-air dash, and using an elemental burst will allow him to jump high above impulses and linger in the air on a glider.
If you have Nahida, you can long press her elemental ability to stay above the waves for a while.
Geo constructions Geo traveler and Zhong Li will help you wait out two waves. You can also climb onto the structure to buy yourself some time, after which you can additionally use the above characters. This will not allow you to completely wait out the attack, but will significantly reduce your time on the ground.
