In Genshin Impact, Itihasa Asipattravana is a Sumeru world quest and part of the Hvarna of Good and Evil questline. As part of it, you have to awaken the power of Hvarna Thorns to dispel the purple fog and save Mihir. If you're having trouble accepting or completing this quest, please read our guide.

How to start the quest
It starts automatically immediately after completing “The Majestic Sky of That Day”. Together with him, by the way, the mission “True Sound of Awakening” will begin, which also needs to be completed to move further along the chain. If for some reason you were not given a quest, then try logging out of your account, wait 20-30 minutes and re-login.
Head to the swamp of Asipattravana and find Mihir
Teleport to the teleporter in the indicated area if you have already activated it, or teleport to the northern fast travel point of the Oasis of Vurukash, approach the cliff and fly along the canyon towards the quest marker. When you get to the right place, talk to Sorush.
Use the power of Hvarna's spikes to dispel the purple mist
First mist (throw the nirodha fruit and destroy the filth)
Start following the floating Hvarna (green orb, spirit core) by jumping down. When you stand on the vine, the spirit will stop. Activate Sorush by pressing the “Z” key and then fly to the thorny branch growing on the root in front.
After flying to the branch, use the bet skill by pressing the “E” key to awaken the power of Hvarna. A timer will appear – in 3 minutes you will have to deal with all the manifested entities of filth (purple bubbling puddles).
The first thing you need to do is get the nirodha fruit. To do this, turn left from the fog and fly towards the orange ball growing on the root with thorns. Hover over it and then activate the Sorush skill to pick up 80 units of energy. One attack will require 10 nirodha points.
Now fly up to three purple puddles with a large bubble and press the elemental explosion key (by default “Q”) to drop the projectile and destroy the essence of filth. The red circle on the ground will show the range of the attack. After destroying all the puddles, return to the character.
Second mist (throw a nirodha fruit and destroy the filth)
Follow the spirit core again, which will lead you to the second purple mist. Call Sorush again. Climb a little up and turn right – you will see another thorny branch on a curved tree. Awaken her with the power of Hvarna to dispel the fog and reveal the essence of fel.
Now find the nirodha fruit again. To do this, turn around and hover near the orange fruit on a branch with thorns. Use the bet skill to collect “shells”. Return to the purple puddles and destroy them.
Return back to the hero and continue past the green orb, which will lead you to a passage blocked by a gray crystal. The obstacle will disappear and you can go inside.
Dispel the purple mist and save Mihir
Go down the tunnel and you'll find yourself in a large cave with a pool of sorrow flowers (recommended you collect them). A little further there will be a third purple mist. Go past him to find Mihir. Talk to Sorush again and then activate it.
At the top you will see the first thorny branch – fly up to it and awaken it. Then return to the character and deal with the enemies that have arisen (hilichurls and Hydromage of the Abyss; the latter is quickly killed by Pyro and Cryo attacks). As a result, you will deal with the fog. Return to Mihir and talk to her.
Next, you will need to accompany the bet to the top. Just run after her, sometimes stopping to deal with obstacles. Your first obstacle will be the Hilichurls, led by the Outcast Hydro. Then go up the tunnel, pick up the Spirit Core and bring it to the gray crystal blocking the path.
After reaching the surface, talk to Mihir again. You will need to choose one of the answer options:
- “Let's Meet Later” – Recommended if you haven't already completed the “True Sound of Awakening” related quest. In this case, Mihir will fly alone to the oasis of Vurukash, and will wait for you there.
- Let's go together – it is recommended to select it if you have already completed the related quest. The fact is that you will automatically be transported to the oasis of Vurukash and will be able to continue the chain.
Go to the oasis of Vurukash
So, get to the indicated location and talk to Mihir there . After a short dialogue and watching a cutscene, you will complete this quest and unlock the Rising from the Dark achievement. If you complete the adjacent quest, you will unlock access to the next mission, “When the Light of Hvarna Manifests”.
