In Genshin Impact, King Deshret's Tomb is a huge structure that consists of several underground and above-ground levels. You can find many chests and valuable items in it by completing a series of puzzles and challenges. In this guide, we will tell you how to get to this location and solve all its mysteries.

How to find and get into the tomb of King Deshret
The central pyramid itself can be infiltrated as part of the world quest “The Secret of al-Ahmar”, however this complex includes many caves and underground areas that you can open later. Naturally, during these world quests, you will surely miss a lot of optional puzzles, secrets and tests, thereby missing out on a good reward, so it makes sense to re-explore all these locations.
However, we recommend doing this only after completing the Ancient Language, New Knowledge quest line. Firstly, this way you can visit most of the necessary ruins by opening hidden teleports, which will make it easier for you to move. Secondly, you will gain Power level 4 at the Red Sands Slab, so you will be able to interact with all the plinths of secret rites and other mechanisms necessary to open access to secret rooms and solve puzzles.
We add that we will consider the tomb in parts, since many caves adjoin it, which are also indirectly part of this location. At the end, the surroundings of the giant pyramid will be explored. At the same time, we will not analyze the quest riddles, since they are all already described in the mission guides.
The eastern part of the tomb of King Deshret: chests and riddles
The map below shows an approximate layout of the caves , connected to the pyramid and located to the east of it next to the Temple of Hemenu and the Hall of Sekhem, about which we have separate guides.
Primal Sparks Blue Barrier Mystery
Get to the room with the cage of eternal light and huge blades, located at the bottom of the Temple of Hemenu (we talked about how to get there in the corresponding guide). Here is a candlestick with the first primordial spark you need. Rotate the cage once to unlock it.
Then start following the blue cube, which will first go down the stairs and then fly off to the left towards the second candlestick. Unlock it again – it will fly to the right and stand above the stone, and then fly to the opposite side of the destroyed bridge, where it will activate one of the primordial torches.

Now jump down to the bottom of the cave where the primordial obelisk is located. Run into the tunnel and go down even lower, and turn left at the fork. Keep running forward until you reach a spacious area. Start climbing up the slope. When you see the ruins on the right, climb them with the four-leaf symbols, and then grab the primordial luminary.
Then climb even higher to the dilapidated bridge and fly over to the opposite side. Run forward, jump off the ledge and stand on the replicator to spawn a candlestick with a second primordial spark – unlock it, turn around and run towards the blue barrier near the two jackal (anubis) statues.

When a spark rises near another candlestick, unlock it and it will remove the barrier. Bring the blue cube to the second torch to eventually get a precious chest.
Accompany the fairy
From the previous puzzle, return to the spacious cave and jump down. There you will find a fairy – approach her, and then press run after the spirit. Climb the slope a little and turn right into a triangular passage. Run up the tunnel, and soon you will reach the house. You will be rewarded with a normal chest.

Regular chest and tablet
Go back to the spacious cave. After going through the triangular exit, deal with the primordial structure to unlock a regular chest. Then climb up to the wooden platforms on the left and pick up Tablet: Valley.

Tablet and Chests
After picking up the ancient tablet, jump off the wooden platform and glide down to the pillar where the locked chest is. Deal with enemies and take treasures.

Then turn around and turn left. Run down the slope to find Tablet: Giant Serpent.
Then climb up to the ledge ahead and use the quatrefoils to fly over the crevice to the other side, where the rich chest is blocked. Deal with the mitachurl and hilichurls, and then take the treasure.

A little lower to the left, by the way, is the tomb of the depths with a luxurious chest inside. To the right of the shrine on the lower level, you can see a locked regular chest guarded by a lavacurl. Defeat the enemy and collect the reward.
Barrel Explosion Time Trial
After the previous chest, turn left and go down to red test mark. Start the challenge – you will need to blow up 10 powder kegs in 30 seconds. To do this, simply use some kind of elemental explosion that hits the area, or a charged shot. As a reward, you will receive a regular chest.

Pile of stones and dendrocules
To the right and above the exploded barrels, you can see the oculus hanging in the air. At the bottom there will be a stack of pebbles – destroy it to get 10,000 mora and cause a wind current that will help you quickly collect a Dendro particle.
Rich chest at the bottom of the cave
Next, jump down to the very bottom of the location. In the center you will find a locked chest. Deal with the enemies that appear, and then take the treasure.

Test to collect Dendro particles
From the previous location, go up to the red test mark. Start the challenge – you will need to collect 8 green orbs in 40 seconds. To do this, simply use the four-leaf symbols placed above the stones. The entire route is shown in the pictures below. You will be rewarded with a regular chest.

The Fairy and the Tablet
After inspecting the chest, turn the camera up and slightly to the left to see fairy. Approach it and start following the spirit, climbing the slope to the top. Soon you will reach the “house” and receive a regular chest as a reward.

Next, go up a little and go into the crevice formed after the explosion of the barrels. There you will find the Tablet: Sheep's Head.
Northwest of King Deshret's Tomb: Chests and Mysteries
The map below shows an approximate diagram of the caves connected to the pyramid and located to the northwest of it near the northern part of the Hall of Opet, about which we have a separate guide. This area is also called “The Depths of King Deshret's Tomb”.
Puzzle with Cage of Eternal Light and Blue Barrier
Travel to the teleporter north of the tomb , and then jump off the edge of the bridge into the cave below and enter the lower tier of the Hall of Opet. Once inside, turn right and pick up the Tablet: Valley in the corridor.

Turn right and touch the stack of pebbles for 15,000 mora. Keep going forward, open the door with the pedestal and go down the stairs. Turn right at the fork and go down the ladder again. In a semi-flooded room, deal with the molds and collect the contents of an unlocked normal chest.

Then open the door to the right of the chest by interacting with the pedestal. Head inside and deal with the primordial structures to unlock a regular chest. Turn around and return to the previous room – unlock the door on the other side and deal with another robot to pick up the primordial luminary.

Go back to the room with the blue barrier and place the luminary on the replicator to spawn a cell of eternal light. She will shoot a beam at the prism ahead, removing the force field. If the laser does not appear, then try to twist the cage. Enter the opened room and inspect the amazing chest, in which you will find the drawing of the “Olive Grove”. On the left is the Tablet: Ruler's Authority.
Fatui Camp and Amazing Chest
Go back to the semi-flooded room and enter the right passage. Climb the stairs to the spacious cave and turn left. Run to the Fatui camp and deal with all the enemies here. Then examine the amazing chest near the tent. Inside you can find the blueprint “Desert Hut: Questions”.

Barrel Burst Time Trial
While in the camp, turn around and pan the camera up. Use the four leaf symbol to climb up to the ledge. On the right you will see a red test mark. Interact with her to start the challenge – you need to blow up 6 powder kegs in 40 seconds.
The easiest way to do this is with an archer (a free Ember will do). Take the appropriate fighter and blow up all the barrels with aimed shots. The necessary objects will be marked with markers, so you can easily find them. As a reward for the test, you will be given a regular chest.
Accompany the fairy in the cave
Head to the right of the challenge and you'll find a fairy. Start following her upstairs, killing the Mirror Maiden Fatui along the way. After entering a spacious area with a crevice, move along the left ledge, and soon you will reach the “house”. You will be rewarded with a normal chest.
Pyro Monument and Cage of Eternal Light Puzzle
After inspecting the chest, turn right and jump down the cliff and onto the roof of the stone building with the Pyro totems blocked. Interact with the Cage of Eternal Light to unlock one of the monuments, then ignite it with a Pyro attack (you need to do this quickly as the device will turn soon).

When the beam turns, activate the second Pyro totem, and then the third. As a result, an amazing chest will appear next to you, in which you will find the drawing “Desert Wall: Strong Defense”.
Cage of Eternal Light and Concealment Mystery
After solving the monument puzzle, turn around and you will see another ruin on the other side, on top of which there is an eternal light cage. Use the four-leaf symbols to climb higher, then glide down and grab the primordial star.

Place the blue pyramid on the replicator to spawn a hide cage and tap it to remove the wall on the side. Then move the cage to shoot the beam at the nearest prism. Next, go up a level and interact with the second device there.

As a result, both beams will shine into the prisms, and you can take the contents of a rich chest that appears nearby.
Dendro Particle Collection Challenge
Go back into the cave and turn right – there you find the red test mark. Interact with her to start the challenge – you need to collect 10 Dendro particles in 60 seconds. The first 4 green orbs are on your left. Climb the invisible ladder to find another piece.

After climbing onto the rooftop with the Pyro Totems, turn the camera up and you'll notice a quatrefoil with a Dendro Particle hanging near it. Collect it, and then run along the invisible path and use the 4-leaf symbol again. The last sphere is just below.

Central Fork in King Deshret's Tomb: Chests and Mysteries
The map below shows an example layout caves connected to the pyramid and located to the west of it next to the Hall of Opet and the Great Hall of Truth, for which we have separate guides.
Dendroculus and normal chests
Go back upstairs to where you recently escorted the fairy, and turn left. Once in a spacious cave, turn right, and then climb the statue, above which hangs a dendroculus.

Keep flying forward towards the blocked regular chest. Deal with the hermits and Fatui, and then collect the reward.

Next, turn around, run into the tunnel ahead and return to the half-flooded room that we talked about at the very beginning of this section. Then go through the right passage, on both sides of which there are torches, and go up the stairs. You will come to a familiar fork where you need to turn right.
Run forward through the tunnel until you reach a large cavern with tree roots. Move to the right to the blocked regular chest. Defeat the molders to claim your reward.

Ghost Torch and Triyana Seed Puzzle
Walk back a bit, turn right and go up the slope to the next blocked chest. Here you will find phantom torches and a triyana seed that will fly in a circle.
Employ any Electro hero in your party (Lysa or Sarah is best), and then hit a seed with an Electro attack, when she will fly next to the torch. Then, use your abilities to light the manifested Pyro torches. The screenshots below show the location of all the objects you need.

After you light all four torches, you will be able to inspect the contents of the rich chest.
Test to collect Dendro particles
Move to the teleport in the western part of the tomb of King Deshret and exit through the passage ahead into a spacious cave. Go downstairs and interact with the red challenge mark – you will need to collect 16 Dendro particles in a minute and a half. To do this, first gravitate towards the four leaf symbol and then glide down to the invisible floor.

When the path ends, use the quatrefoils again to land on another invisible slab. Climb up these platforms to the ledge ahead. The last sphere will be waiting for you already on solid ground. As a reward for the challenge, you will receive a regular chest.

Eternal Light Cell Puzzle
Next, go up the stairs and enter the ruins. Here you will find cells of eternal light and a locked amazing chest. Pick up the Tablet: Thunderclap at the other end of the room, and then turn around and move the cage in the center – it will start moving to the left.

Then go to the cage on the right and move it too. They will light up the prisms in the middle, which will unlock the chest containing the “Desert Table: Hospitality” blueprint.

Fairy near the torch
Exit the building and turn right – in the distance you will see a fairy next to the torch. Reach her up the slope and start escorting her. She will fly down. After bringing it to the house, you will receive a regular chest.

Dendroculus and a pile of stones
After accompanying the spirit, go forward and turn left. Pull towards the four leaf symbols near the crocodile statue. At the top you will find a Dendroculus.

On the same stone platform, but on the other side, you can find a stack of stones. Interact with her to get mora.
The most secret room in King Deshret's tomb
This underground area contains a secret room that requires 5 sparkling parts to open, which drop from special pristine structures. In separate guides, we told you how to get the necessary items and open the room. Inside you will find a Primordial Obelisk and a Luxurious Chest.
Remove the Wither Zone
Return to the main cave and enter the tunnel down and to the left. Go through it upstairs, and at the fork turn left. Go down into the semi-flooded room where you have been before, and go through the passage ahead. Once in a spacious cave, turn left.

Go deeper into the cave and fly over the crevice using the four-leaf symbols. Climb up the tunnel and you'll come to an area with a golden tree in the center. Walk to its foot to find the Wither Zone.

Grab the dendrogranums and then start destroying the red branches (three in total) with your charged shots. Their location is shown in the screenshots below. Then approach the huge red flower and click on it to destroy the tumor.

As a reward, you will receive a precious chest. Don't forget to also pick up the Dendroculus at the top of the golden tree.
Pyro puzzle monuments (amazing chest)
Go through the passage to the north and go upstairs to a room with huge blades. On the left side of the dilapidated pillars you will see two Pyro totems – light them up with fire attacks.

Then turn the camera up and to the right – on the pillars you will find two more elemental monuments, which also need to be activated (use Pyro Archer and Aimed Shots). You should light them in the order shown in the screenshots above.
As a result, you will unlock an amazing chest, which contains the “Desert Drapery: Sunset” blueprint.
The tablet and a regular chest in Camp Fatui
Take advantage of the air current and fly to the other side with the Quatrefoil. Move forward and deal with the opponents in the Fatui camp. Then collect the Tablet: Thicket and inspect a regular chest.

How to open the passage in the western part of the Colonnade Desert
Turn the camera to the left and you will see fairy on the opposite ledge. Approach her and start following the spirit. Jump back down, where the Pyro monuments are located, and bring the fairy to the “house”. As a reward, you will receive a regular chest.

Go back up and forward down the slope to the locked door (don't forget to pick up Tablet: Sandstorm on the left). Click on the blue button to open the door. This will create a short route to this area.
