After collecting spiritual carps in the Chenyu Valley, several places appear in Genshin Impact , where you can meet Fu Jin, Ling Yuan, Mao and Otmontaigne again. Where to find Fu Jin, Ling Yuan and other characters
For the Adept and the rest of the heroes to appear in the open world, you need to collect 50 spiritual carps and offer them to the Treasured Jade – in our guides you can learn more about how to open the jade and increase its level.
After that, you will be able to visit 5 places with characters. True, visiting two locations in a row will not be so easy – you need to rewind the time on the Paimon clock by a day; if this does not work, you will have to re-login to the game or account after each new place.
Mao and Ling Yuan
The first place where you can meet story characters is the southwestern part of Lingmeng Mountain. The boy asks Ling Yuan to tell him the ending of the story, but Azure says that the boy must come up with it himself. Instead, she will invite Mao to sit on her back.

Ling Yuan
From the Statue of the Archons at the Chizhang Wall, go down along the path to the west. Not far from the bridge, closer to the cliff, stands Lazur. If you were unable to find it, try first solving one of the puzzles with an ancient cup (in the guide at the link, the required riddle is described as number 3).
Ling Yuan reflects on the question you asked her at the end of the storyline: “If human affairs are part of the law of nature, what do you think about people themselves?” Ling Yuan comes to the conclusion that her observations of people are not enough yet, and someday she will still be able to answer your question.
Fu Jin and Ling Yuan
From the teleport in the village Qiaoying head south through the tea plantations and up to higher ground. Azure argues that she will never take on the image of a person, even at the request of a friend.
Mao and Fu Jin
Travel to the teleport to the west of the same village and fly east. There is a small hill near the road where Mao and the Carp Adept are standing. The kid congratulates Fu Jin on acquiring a human form and promises her to learn how to make cookies according to Grandfather Lu's recipe.
Mao and Otmontagne
From the southern teleport in Yilong port run a little west. Here you will see a kind of wooden corridor in which Gora and Mao are standing. They are passionate about discussing operas.
If you can't catch this dialogue, try first completing the quest “Three Expectations”, which is associated with Otmontany, then re-enter the game and check this location again.
