Going through the “Must – Return” quest
How to start the quest
First of all, you will need to complete Mona's legends quest called “What the stars of this world say”, in which the young lady finds herself a home in the city. Next, you will need to wait for the corresponding daily to drop out. You can slightly increase the chance of getting it by selecting Mondstadt in the “desired region” option, which can be found in the Quests tab of the Adventurer's Handbook.
When you finally get the necessary quest, go to the capital of the region and find the old Goethe near the headquarters of the Ordo Favonius. Talk to the hotel owner and find out what's bothering them.
How to get wood for Goethe
The owner of the hotel will note that pieces of furniture have broken in several apartments, so he will ask you to bring him one log of birch and fir. In a separate guide, we told you where you can find the right wood. However, we will still indicate the nearest locations of the necessary trees.
Travel to the “Valley of Memories” dungeon, located east of the Dawn Distillery. Then turn the camera to the right and approach the cliff: below you will find fir trees, and on the plateau on the other side – birch trees. First, jump down and collect fir logs, and then simply teleport to the statue of seven archons and get birch trees.
Having obtained wood, talk to Goethe again and give him the necessary logs. He will thank you, and then tell you that Mona owes him money for rent, so he will ask you to collect the debt from her. You will need to visit a friend – go to her house, which will be indicated by a purple pointer.
Where to find Mona
However, no one will be home, so you will need to choose a place to look for her:< /p>
- In the Ordo Favonius library, I think.
- “A good hunter.” Salad is served there.
- Let's go straight to Katerina.
You can only visit one location per playthrough of the daily. However, we note right away that you will not find Mona in any of the indicated locations. However, to find an astrologer, you will have to visit all three, that is, go through this assignment at least three times. Below we will consider all possible options.
Option 1: Katerina
You decide to go to the secretary of the Adventurer's Guild, who knows almost everything in the world. Just go to the girl in the same city and talk to her.
However, Katerina will say that she has not seen Mona for a long time and will advise you to leave the task for other members of the guild. After that, return to Goethe and tell him that you failed to find the astrologer. He will be upset, but you will still receive your reward.
Option 2: Ordo Favonius Library
Go to the headquarters of the order of knights and go inside. Continue the investigator following the sign, turning right and entering the library. Then go down the stairs. However, you won't find Mona here either, so decide to talk to Virat.
Go upstairs again and talk to the knight standing near the door. He will report that Mona was indeed here recently, but now he does not know anything about her whereabouts. We'll have to go back to Goethe empty-handed. Luckily, you'll get your reward anyway.
Option 3: Good Hunter
Head to the aforementioned restaurant nearby and talk to Sarah at the counter. She will say that Mona did come here almost every evening and buy a salad, but no one has seen her here for the last two days.
After another failure, return to the owner of the hotel and tell him that you failed to find the girl. Either way, you will be rewarded.
Option 4: Meeting Mona
It will become available to you only if you have visited all three previous places. As usual, head to the astrologer's house after you bring the wood to Goethe. This time you will meet your old friend right outside the door – talk to her.
The girl will tell you that in the last days were out of town, as she worked on a new article for the magazine. Tell her about the rent debt. As a result, she will give you a weightless purse – take it and give it to Goethe.
Then return to Monet again and tell her that you have transferred the money. Unfortunately, she will now have to eat only salad for a couple of days. As for the reward, in addition to the standard reward, you will receive the Supreme Wisdom (Life) dish. There are no achievements associated with this quest.
