The Ration Pack (Menu #30) in Genshin Impact is an item that allows you to instantly consume food at any time without being distracted from the battle. In this guide, we will tell you how to get the blueprint for this tool, what you need to create a dry ration and how you can use it.
How to get a blueprint for a dry ration
To get a dry ration diagram, reach reputation level 5 in Mondstadt . Go into your inventory and examine the blueprint to be able to craft the item.
How to craft a Drained Ration
You can make dry rations in the forge. To do this, you will need 20 Lizard Tails, 20 Chaos Chains and 50 Electro Crystals. It takes 30 seconds to make one dry ration.
Most lizard tails can be found in Mondstadt, in the area of Storm Terror Lair and Whispering Forest.
Chains of Chaos can be obtained by fighting level 40+ Ruin Guardians and Ruin Hunters. They are most common in Li Yue – refer to the map below to find them.
In addition, you can buy chains from the Paimon store: 1 chain = 15 Stardust.
Finally, you can create 1 chain of 3 chaos devices through alchemy. Use Dory or Sucrose to get more materials. You can read more about this in our separate guide.
Electro Crystals are common throughout Teyvat – the maps below show some of the best farming spots in Sumeru and Mondstadt.
How to use Rations
You can find the tool in your inventory, in the appropriate section. There are two places in the dry ration: one for the restoration dish, the second for the resurrection one. After choosing the necessary dishes, equip the item.
By default, if there is no defeated hero in the squad, you will have access to restorative food. As soon as one of the characters dies, the dry ration will replace the offered food with a resurrection one. If there are several downed characters in the squad, the ration will resurrect the first one in the list, then switch back to restoring food until the ability to resurrect is rolled back.
Please note: you will not be able to use healing dishes if the character is healthy or full.
To use the dry rations, press Z on the keyboard if playing from the computer, or L1+circle if playing on PlayStation. On smartphones, the tool button is located to the left of the character's HP bar.
The tool is especially useful when fighting difficult bosses or large groups of enemies. It saves time and compensates for the inconvenient mechanics of resurrecting heroes in battle when the menu for choosing a dish appears and the battle does not stop.
Unfortunately, like any other tools and food, dry rations are not available in the Twisted Abyss.
