How to start the quest
Before you can take on this quest, you will need to fulfill a number of conditions, namely:
- Reach at least Mastery level 13.
- Complete the Mastery mission “The Long Wait for the Edge of the Blade”.
- Complete the adventure mission “Rebirth Road”.

After you've dealt with the above requirements, you should receive a message from a certain Taunting Shell. Read her dialogue to the end to accept the task. Next, you will need to go to Asta and talk to her. You can find it at Hertha Station in the Main Control Zone.
Check Mayr, Chris and Joanne
You will need to check three people by eavesdropping on their conversations and following their actions. Mair is on the right side of the Main Control Zone. Stand behind the machine and click the “Listen” option.
Chris can be found in the southern part of the specified location. Stand behind the guy and select the “Listen” option. Unfortunately, you won't be able to watch him for long, as he will immediately notice you.

Go to the Support Zone (Parts Warehouse), go forward, deal with the enemies of level 8 and turn right. Climb up and move on. On the left, by the way, you can find a piggy bank of space.
In the next room you will find a puzzle with unearthly material. You will need to correctly pass through the luminous platforms, stepping on each of them no more than once. The entire route is shown in the gif below.

You will again have to solve a puzzle with unearthly material, and it will be a little more difficult than the previous one, since a black hole will appear. First go to the left corner through the center and enter the portal to get to the right. Then move to the finish line. The full route is shown in the gif below.
< p>After reaching the other side, open the second valuable chest, and then interact with the terminal again. You will only be able to study Mayr's notes, which will indicate her innocence. Next, talk to the engineer again. He will ask you to come back tomorrow. This completes the task.
