In Genshin Impact, the Gym Race is part of the first chapter of Invitations from Afar! storyline of the Summer! Amusement park? Mirage!”. During this quest, you will need to solve the preprint puzzle, as well as activate and ride the Whirlpool Rails. Passing the quest “Race on a buggy (observing the rules of the road)”
How to start the task
At the beginning, you will need to complete the previous part of the quest line called “Glass Dungeon, Big in Small”. Within it, you will find the first part for the central mechanism of the Mirage Velurium. Then the mission you need will start automatically.
Move to the gorge and chat with Ferdinand
Exit the Garden and head to the gorge marked with a marker. Just follow the main road without turning anywhere. Use the four leaf symbols to get upstairs faster. Activate the teleport and go to the sign. A new movie will start.
During the cut-scene, you will meet Ferdinand. Together with his brothers, he keeps order in this area. Tell him about your goal. This will then create a gibberish that will allow you to travel around Velurium Mirage.
How to save Hydro Eidolon from the preprint
Get into the vehicle and it will automatically move forward, so you don't have to press anything . Wait until the gibberish arrives at the correct platform. Exit it and go to the marker to start a new conversation. You will need to free another Hydro Eidolon from the trap.
First of all, move the box in front to put it in the right place (the final result is shown in the picture below). Then interact with the device to enter the 2D space.
Go right first and open the first chest. In it you will find an eidolon. Now climb up the left ledge with the crate and open the second chest (empty). At the end, cross to the right ledge and open the third chest, where there will be another eidolon. Return to the portal and return to the real world.
Drive forward
Get back into the buggy and move forward. Suddenly, a challenge will begin in which you will need to blow up 85 fluttering tomatoes. To do this, call waves by pressing the “E” and “Q” keys (you can clamp them together if the targets are on 2 sides at once). Try not to hit the mudfruits or your visibility will be reduced.
Don't worry if you miss a few tomatoes, there are more than you need along the way. Plus, you can always replay the challenge by calling the transport again at the last stop. At the end of the path, a rich chest will be waiting for you.
Get back into the vehicle and drive forward. You can change rails along the way by clicking LMB in time to collect additional pestilence rewards. Then get to the next platform.
Head to the rail junction
After landing on the right platform, climb the slope, go a little to the right along the cliff, and then jump down towards the quest marker. The place you need is located near the Hydro Eidolon. When you reach the indicated point, watch the new video.
Get to the Whirlpool Rails and activate them
Get back into the vehicle and drive forward until you reach Geroni. Along the way, don't forget to shoot down water spheres and change paths to pick up rewards. Once on the giant flower, talk to Ferdinand's brother.
After watching the cutscene, jump down from the giant bud down to the buggy stop. Here, look for a blue and yellow flower and interact with it once to change the rails to a yellow path (there should be a yellow bud at the bottom) leading to the Whirlpool Rails.
Now you can get into the transport again – if it is not on the site, then call the “train” with the orange flower. Moving forward, you will start a new challenge in which you must destroy 65 Fluttering Tomatoes using side waves. If there are mudfruits in your path, then click on the left mouse button to change the path.
When you get to the right place, you will find a precious chest and you can chat with Haddo. After the conversation, get back into the gibberish and move to the very end, where a new cut-scene will start, during which the whirlpool rails will be activated.
Then approach the orange flower, change course and ride the gibberish back. Press the “space” at the right moment to get off at the right place. Check out the new video.
Ride the Whirlpool Rails
During the last conversation, the brothers will give you a climbing rope, which is the second part for the mechanism. Get back into the vehicle and take on the final tomato challenge. This time you will need to destroy 100 vegetables.
Along the way, try to knock down three water spheres to create additional rails that you can jump onto. At the end of the path, a precious chest awaits you. Talk to your friends again. You can now travel to the Garden of Silver Vessels and tell Idia about your accomplishments. This will complete the quest.
Completing the quest will reward you with 20,000 mora, 20 sourcestones, 2 hero's books, and 4 magical amplification ores. Access to the next mission, Trouble in the Garden of Ghostly Mirrors! due to open July 7th.
