How to get to the tank puzzle
The riddle is located in the western part desert. From the teleportation point, go up and to the left. Defeat the Primal Construct and unlock the mechanism to open the entrance.
Use the elevator to get to the puzzle room.
How to solve the tank puzzle
Reservoirs are a new type of puzzle in Genshin Impact. To solve them, you will need an archer: you need to shoot at the cranes and change their position, filling the tanks with sand or emptying them.
When you go down into the puzzle room, you will immediately see your future reward: 2 regular chests and 1 deluxe chest. Each of them requires a different position of the cranes, so we will analyze everything in order.
Regular chest #1
Go down into the room, turn left. Shoot the left faucet and sand will fall out of it.
Shoot the center tank to close it – it's bigger will not glow blue. After that, return to the previous tank and activate its right faucet. This will fill the central tank with sand.
Now shoot the left faucet of the same tank to empty it. After that, only the central tank will be filled. Defeat three Hermits and then you can collect your first reward.
Normal Chest #2
Empty the central tank by shooting it once.
Next, shoot the top right crane.
Shoot the top left faucet, then the left top left tank faucet. When the bottom tank is full, two Primordial Constructs will spawn and a second chest will unlock.
Luxury Chest
First, empty the vessels from the previous puzzle: lower left and upper right. After that, the lower right tank, on the contrary, will be filled with sand.
Open the top left faucet. At the filled tank, activate the right tap, and the sand will be poured from it into the central tank. Close the tap and refill the upper left tank. Make sure all reservoirs are filled to the brim – focus on the yellow bar.
After these steps, two dragons will appear ruins. Once you've dealt with them, you'll receive your final reward.
Rewards
Each of the normal chests will give you 2 Primogems, 1 Dendro Seal, 10 XP, Mora, Artifact/Weapon, XP Books/Enhancement Ore. A deluxe chest will give 10 primogems, 4 seals, 30 experience and other rewards of higher value.
