Shields in Honkai Star Rail: how to get and use

In Honkai: Star Rail, shields are a type of in-game currency that is needed to purchase various items in a special store on the planet Yarilo-VI. You can earn it by finding chests, discovering secrets and completing some tasks.

In this guide, we will describe all the ways to get shields, as well as what you can spend them on, and what rewards you will receive for using this world currency. Note that similar money is available in other worlds: Arrows (Lofu Xianzhou) and Hertariums (Space Station “Herta”).

How to earn shields in Honkai: Star Rail

In the game the description indicates that we are talking about the official currency of Belobog, therefore, it can be obtained and spent only in the specified region. The exchange rate of shields to credits is 1:50, however, players will not be able to exchange them anywhere. Next, we will tell you exactly how you can get shields.

Adventure Missions

Relatively easy and lucrative way to earn shields, as most side quests will give you 100 shields. There are currently 12 quests that can be completed on the station with the corresponding reward:

Thus, on quests alone, you can earn at least 1300 shields. Here are just a few of them that only unlock after completing certain story missions and reaching Mastery level 26 and above, so you won't be able to get the currency right away.

Companion Missions

Another profitable method obtaining shields, since for each quest of a companion associated with Yarilo-VI, you can immediately get 200 units of this currency. This list includes the following Companion Missions:

Chests

Secrets

The most time-consuming way to earn shields, as these secret mini-quests are not marked on the map or in the quest log in any way. Plus, some of them require collecting and finding certain objects in different locations. But by finding all the secrets on the planet, you can get over 460 shields. How to spend shields

There is only one store that can use this currency at the moment – it is located in Kamnegrad, not far from the anchor “Grand Hotel Goethe. Talk to Lauder and say you want to buy something.
