On the third floor of Brookhaven Hospital in Silent Hill 2 Remake you will be able to get into the X-ray room, where another riddle will be waiting for you. Having solved it, you will be able to get to the D1 room, locked with a lock. However, to solve the puzzle, one picture will be missing, and you will have to explore the hospital to find the missing item.

How to Solve the X-Ray Puzzle in Silent Hill 2
Go to the X-Ray Room through the window of Examination Room 5 and examine the table. You will find a note and a pelvic X-ray. You will see the rest of the pictures attached to the negatoscope on the wall of the office. However, after reading the note, it turns out that one picture will be missing.
How to find the fourth X-ray
You can find the missing image in the procedure room on the second floor, which can only be accessed through the nurses' station, which is locked with a combination lock.

How to clean a moldy x-ray
Once you find the x-ray at the bottom of the bathtub, you will see that it is completely covered in mold.
To solve the puzzle in the x-ray room, you first need to clean the mold from the x-ray. To do this, you need to find a mold remover in the kitchen on the first floor of the hospital.
Once you find the remedy, combine it with the moldy radiograph to get a clean radiograph.

Return to the third floor and attach all the remaining images to the negatoscope.
The code received after solving the puzzle will be the same for all difficulties

For each X-ray, the marker marks will serve as a guide. Attach the two remaining pictures to the board and place them as shown in the screenshot.
The four folded photographs will display the code 4 – 37— 12.
Solution to the puzzle on hard difficulty
In the case of the maximum difficulty, the negatoscope will only have a few marker marks on the pictures already hanging on it. But the arrangement of the pictures and the resulting code will be the same as on other difficulties.
The code for hard difficulty will also be 4 — 37 — 12.
How to open the door to office D1
Exit the X-ray room and go to room D1 on the same floor.
To open the lock on the door, use the code obtained in the X-ray room as follows:
- 4 to the right
- 37 to the left
- 12 to the right
Once the door to room D1 is open, you can search it and find a bracelet, needed to solve the puzzle in the director's office.
