The Passage of Life quest
It starts automatically on December 19 if you completed the previous mission called “Ghost Stories”. Open your quest log (J) and start tracking a new quest.
How to find clues in the area
Initially, you may need to scroll through the time for tomorrow using the Paimon menu. After that, move back to the forest on Narukami Island and go to the place where the test of courage is being held. There you will meet Heizo and decide to investigate the mystery of the ghost together with him.
Head to the place where you first met the mysterious girl – the desired point is on the other side of the river, next to the tree. Heizo will assume that the ghost did not want to harm people, so he will suggest looking for clues to find out the true motives of the spirit.
However, you don't have to search for clues for a long time, as they are all located right behind the hero and are illuminated by bright rays. Just walk up to them and interact, and then chat with Heizo again. Yokai kids will join the conversation shortly.
Investigate and follow the yokai finds
After a short conversation, run up to the yokai near the river and watch another cut-scene. You will then need to proceed to the next location to investigate, located next to a huge tree.
How to find clues again
This time, in order to find evidence, you will simply need to chat with Kappa, Yoko and Hitotsume, who are standing nearby. Each of them will reveal a certain clue: a real flame, a firework ball and a sleeping powder. At the end, talk to Heizo again – he will assume that the mysterious girl is not a ghost, since she did not use magic, but ordinary props.
Find on the coast is all unusual
Run to the north bank or just teleport to the board to start Akitsu Yugei. Approach the glowing marker near the rock and inspect it. A new cutscene will begin with a mysterious woman. In it, you will learn that she is a yokai and the incarnation of the Hagoita Spirit. She will give her real name, Hanyuda Chizuru.
Next, watch a new colorful video about the samurai and Kamae. However, it will not be as rosy as in children. After that, Yae Miko and the priestess will join the conversation. You will understand why Chizuru did not want to get close to people and constantly pushed them away.
Have fun at the festival and meet Chizuru on the beach
When the yokai problem is solved, talk to Itto and Goro standing on the beach. Watch another long cut-scene. After that, Khanyuda will want to chat with you alone. To do this, go to the small rocky area behind the blue gate.
