In Genshin Impact, the Omen Came in the Shape of a Thief is a Sumeru world quest and the first part of the quest line “Her enemies rage like waves.” As part of it, you have to help Yuften return the stolen goods. Passing the quest “The Omen Came in the Shape of a Thief”
How to start the quest
Before you can take on this mission, you will need to fulfill a number of conditions, namely:
- Complete the quest chain called “Dirge of Bilcis”.
- Complete the world quest “Rejoice at Lost Lost”, in which Benben is to be repaired.
- Complete the mission “Falcon Wings Folded” to resolve the issue with Tadle.
As soon as you deal with all the indicated requirements (maybe you need to wait 1 real day later), teleport to the Statue of the Seven Archons, located near the Tanit camp and jump from the cliff down to the very bottom of the gorge where the crocodiles are. There, find Yuften near the tent and talk to him. An exclamation mark should be hanging above his head.
Head to the place where the caravan last spawned
Yuften will tell you about the missing caravan that brought the Anaist's Blessing for him. He will ask you to find out what happened to the cargo. Travel to the Haj-nisut west teleporter, then turn around and go slightly northwest to the glowing marker.
How to explore clues along the path
Here you will need to look for clues about what happened to the caravan. First of all, approach the Hilichurl, who is looking for something in the ground, and deal with him. Then examine the broken jar (marked with a white triangle) near the dilapidated column.
Continue following the canyon road north to reach the marked area. Soon you will notice a wooden box on the right, guarded by another hilichurl. Having dealt with it, inspect the box. All this looks very suspicious, but the heroes decide to go further.
Investigate the Hilichurl camp
Run north again and you'll see a monster camp ahead. There, you will need to deal with a Mitachurl with an electric axe, a Dendro Shamachurl, and a few Hilichurls. Try to stay away from the water so you can't be frozen by the Crio Shooter.
< p>After dealing with the opponents, examine the pile of garbage located near the Hilichurl tower, standing next to the rock. It makes no sense to look at the rest of the places highlighted with triangles, since you will not find anything anyway.
How to explore clues nearby and defeat assassins
Now start climbing up while continuing to run north. After passing by the dilapidated walls, get to the area marked on the map and approach the wrapped carpet. As soon as you get close to it, a new cut-scene will start, during which you will find a broken cart.
When you decide to leave and return to Yuften, you will be suddenly attacked by Desert Assassins. These are just lightly buffed versions of normal enemies, so you should be able to take them out without any problems.
Having done this, return to Yuften and tell him about what happened. He will be surprised that we returned to him safe and sound, and then he will advise us to talk to Babel. You will find it in its original location, so just use the four leaf symbol to get to the top and then go to the temple.
After talking with the matriarch, the quest will end , and you will be rewarded with 250 adventure points, 30 primogems, 25 thousand pestilence and 3 hero books. In addition, you will have access to the next mission in the chain called “Sharpen your arrows, prepare your shields…”.
