In Genshin Impact, True Spear and Sword Mastery is a hidden achievement for to unlock which you need to open and pass tests in the Wangshan Hall. In this guide you will find out where this location is located and what you need to do to complete all its challenges.
How to open challenges in Wangshan Hall
First of all, you need to unlock the location itself by completing the world quest “Hidden Valley, Secret Hero”. If you left the arena after completing the quest, you can easily return to it by moving to the underground teleport in the Lingmen Mountain area. Then read the inscription on the stone in the center of the round platform again.

So, you will need to unlock two trials: the Sword and the Spear, and then complete them. To do this, you will first have to take a good look at this room.
How to unlock the Sword Challenge
While standing in the arena, turn the camera to the north and you will see the ruins of a building with bars. Go up to it from the right side along the stairs. Here you will find a lattice door that can be opened with the key received from Juan the Third (during the quest).
Go inside the room and click on “Damaged Inscriptions” in the center. Select “Touch the Stone Tablet” and then “Kick the Stone Tablet” to create Pyro Slimes. Deal with them to open the bars and unlock the first challenge.

How to unlock the Spear test
Return to the arena and look to the west – you will see more ruins there. Approach them from the right side (you can be drawn to the water pearl) and you will find a locked grate. To open it you will need two geogranums.
Turn around and you will see two necessary stones with geo-essence to the left and slightly ahead. Destroy the ore with any attacks, and then bring it to the stone lamps near the grate (you need to take the geogranums one at a time).
Go inside the room and open a regular chest. Behind it will be an “Illegible Inscription” – interact with it, and then touch the sign to gain access to the second challenge.
Completing the Wangshan Hall trials
Go down to the arena again in center of the cave and click on the inscription on the stone. You will have a choice of two tests – you can take them in any order. Next, we will consider each of them in detail.
Trial of the Sword
We are talking about a combat challenge in in which you have to destroy 9 opponents in 2 minutes. They will not attack you all at once, but will attack in waves:
- Mitachurls x3
- Geovishap x1 and Geovishap Cubs x2
- Xuanwen Beast x3
We recommend that you take Cryo, Hydro and Pyro characters so that you can constantly freeze Xuanwen and then stun them, causing a Melt (Pyro + Cryo) or Shatter reaction (greatsword attacks on frozen enemies). This will allow you to deal with the last enemies much faster.
Shields work well against Geovishaps, since they crash into them while spinning and fall, so you can hit them with impunity. Instead of a shield warrior, you can take a healer if you have problems with the survivability of the squad. Having dealt with all enemies within the specified period of time, you will receive one rich chest.
Trial of the Spear
As part of it, you will have to 45 seconds to dodge the water blades that will appear in the arena. You won't have to fight with anyone, so dodging the blades will be relatively easy.
You can easily track the appearance of blades by the red stripes on the stone platform. Just bounce off the red lines as soon as you see them. We advise you not to run constantly, but to stand still and dash only when something threatens you.
However, you may well get hit several times, as this will not lead to failure of the test. If you have a good shield warrior, for example, Zhong Li, then you can only dodge half of the attacks. At the end you will receive one rich chest.
How As soon as you complete both tests, you will immediately unlock the “True Mastery of the Spear and Sword” achievement, which will reward you with 5 primogems.
