In Vampire Survivors, weapon evolution and merging are special game mechanics based on the combination of different passive items and weapons. With the help of them you can get enhanced weapons. In this guide, we will tell you exactly how these processes occur, as well as show all the blueprints that exist in the game.
Note: We will not list the best weapons and builds here, but will only present all possible combinations. We will have separate guides about optimal builds.
How to perform weapon evolution in Vampire Survivors
Upgraded Killing Weapons generally have the same stats as the base weapon, but with additional effects. For example, area-of-effect weapons can increase their damage radius. Some items have their base damage changed due to changes in how they work.
To carry out the evolution of weapons, you need to follow a few steps. First of all, make sure that your basic weapon is upgraded to the maximum level 8, and that the required passive item is in your inventory (can be of any level). However, these conditions do not apply to all types of weapons:
- If you plan to get the One Solution, Crimson Shroud or Infinite Corridor, then you will need to fully upgrade passive items.
- If If you're planning on getting a Bi-Bracelet or Tri-Bracelet, you won't need any passive items. You need to have a regular Bracelet and upgrade it to level 6, and then open the chest. Once you get the Bi-Bracelet, upgrade it to level 6 again to get the Tri-Bracelet in the next chest.
- The Super Candybox II Turbo doesn't require a passive item either, but it does require the Candybox weapon drop in the current launch. Drops from a chest with a low chance (Chance depends on Luck).
Next, you will need to find a Treasure Chest, which may include evolution as a reward. Basically, these chests are issued for killing bosses that start attacking the hero after 10 minutes have passed. The screenshots below show what this object looks like in the arena.
There are a few exceptions to the rule, however:
- If you go to the Crazy Forest, then as part of the wave that starts at 1:00, you will be attacked by the Glowing Bat. It drops a chest that may contain the evolution you need.
- In Boss Raid, Dairy, Chapel Magna and Molise, chests can lead to the evolution of a weapon, regardless of when they were obtained.
- Access to the evolution of weapons in Green Acres works according to the same rules as in the original worlds, that is, in the Dairy, chests that fell on waves of up to 10 minutes are able to improve weapons, but in the Library they are no longer.
- With the help of the Giorunton character, you can evolve weapons by opening any chests that give items.
< li>Containing Arcana (occurs at 11th and 21st minutes of any normal stage) chests can only lead to the evolution of weapons if the gamer has reached the maximum number of Arcana.
So, after opening the chest, you will receive enhanced weapons instead of a random upgrade of one of the gizmos. The base weapon will be removed from your inventory and an upgraded variant will be added. The passive item will not disappear.
Usually, only one weapon can be upgraded with one chest – this also applies to high-level chests. True, there are exceptions. Up to 5 types of weapons can improve the chests that drop in Molise and from the Giant Enemy Crab, and up to 3 – in the Dairy, Magna Chapel and Halo Tower (at the 10th and 20th minutes); Library and Bone Zone (at the 20th minute); in Molise; drops from Drowner, Stalker and Giant Enemy Crab.
To upgrade multiple weapon types at the same time, chests must be at a high level and have the appropriate number of rewards. The fact is that evolution is one of the rewards.
Weapon evolution combinations
The table below lists all weapons available in Vampire Survivors (including DLC) that can evolve. You can find out what passive items are needed for this, and what effects improved weapons have.
|40||Similar to the regular Whip, but it can swing multiple times and steal health from enemies while healing the hero. Can deal critical damage based on Luck.|
|30||Similar to Charming Wand, but can continuously fire a large number of projectiles that push enemies back.|
|16.5||Similar to a regular knife , but can continuously fire a large number of projectiles that deal piercing damage.|
|60||Similar to a regular axe, but fires 12 projectiles that deal increased piercing damage from the hero instead of vertical.|
|77||Similar to a regular cross, but its projectiles have longer flight time and can deal critical piercing damage based on Luck.|
|30||Similar to King's Bible, however, it can constantly rotate around the hero without needing to recharge.|
|100||Similar to a Fire Wand, but capable of firing a large number of projectiles that deal high piercing damage.|
|20||Similar to Garlic, but has a chance to steal 1 HP from enemies that have been knocked back. The chance of triggering depends on the health of the hero. Enemies that hit the circle become vulnerable to Freeze (Spear of Time).|
|30||Similar to Holy Water, however, the areas of damage do not appear in random locations, but near the hero. Plus, they gradually increase in size as they move towards the character.|
|30||Similar to Runtracer, but shoots a laser beam that ricochets and creates an explosion when it bounces off the edge of the screen or obstacles. Deals high damage and has a large attack radius.|
|65||Similar to Lightning Nova, but fires more projectiles with increased damage. Lightning strikes twice in the same areas.|
|–||Similar to the Pentagram, but it has 3 phases of work: the 1st occurs when reloading and attacks random opponents with a certain frequency and creates multi-colored experience crystals; 2nd – destroys only monsters; 3rd – attracts all gems visible on the screen.|
|30||Similar to Nasty Cats. Huge eyes appear, causing damage in case of contact with enemies. The number of projectiles is reduced by 1. Killed monsters have a chance to turn into coins, increasing the duration of Gold Rush by 0.05 seconds.|
|40||Similar to Mana Song, but with significantly longer range and ability to slow enemies.|
|35||Similar to Shadow Gear, however, the flame from evolution has a larger radius of destruction, duration and strength. The number of projectiles is reduced by 1.|

|10||Does not replace Victory Sword, meaning you will have 2 weapons at the same time. A single decision turns the galaxy around, dealing damage to all enemies around and making the hero intangible. For every 5000 enemies killed, its base damage increases by 1.|
Spear of Time
The Golden Circle
|–||Similar to Time Spear. Creates 12 beams around the hero in turn, which freeze enemies. After completing a full circle around the character, the beam summons an iridescent aura that reduces the life bar of all enemies on the screen by 2 times.|
Metaglio the Left
|–||Similar to Laurel. Causes a shield that protects against incoming damage (limited to 10) and makes the character invulnerable when activated for a short period of time. The number of charges can be determined by the color of the shield (yellow, orange and red). The shield can deal retaliatory damage (even Red Death) if it is charged.|
|Similar to the bracelet. Shoot cloud sparks that fly at random enemies. The Bi-Bracelet, when upgraded, gains piercing, increases the number of projectiles and damage radius, and also reduces the reload time. Tri-Bracelet has all of the above stats increased even further.|

How to perform weapon fusion in Vampire Survivors
This process is in many ways similar to evolution, but there are several differences. First, you need to have two basic weapons at once, upgraded to level 8. Sometimes a passive item is also required. Secondly, when merged, both original weapons are removed and an improved weapon appears in their place.
The principle of dropping combined weapons is the same as during evolution, that is, you need to open treasure chests, having the necessary items with you.
Combinations of combining weapons
The table below shows all available in Vampire Survivors weapons (including DLC) that can be combined with each other. You can find out what passive items are required for this, and what effects improved weapons have.

Fiera Der Tufello
|1||15||Fires out beams that circle around the hero and have a huge radius of destruction. The number of beams and damage from them depends on the number of resurrection charges you have. Therefore, it will bring the greatest benefit to the hero Krochi when drawing the Awake arcana card – you will receive 8 resurrections in total.|

|8||28||Spawns two areas that circle around you and fire at enemies, dealing massive damage. We recommend downloading it completely. This weapon is affected by a movement speed passive.|
|1||20||Inflicts a horizontal strike in front of the hero. The radius of damage of the attack depends on the speed of the flight of charges. Can deal critical damage, causing explosions and healing the character. The movement speed passive increases Tuvalafuwal's attack speed.|
At this point in time, these are all combinations of evolution and weapon combining that are present in Vampire Survivors. If you have information on other schemes, you can share it in the comments to the article.
