In Dragon's Dogma 2, Wolf's Prey is a side quest that takes place in and around Border Town. As part of it, you have to ask the townspeople about the boy who was captured by the wolves, and then find Rog in the den of predators. Walking through the quest “Wolf's Prey” in Dragon's Dogma 2
How to start the quest
First, get to the Border Town, located west of Vernworth (you can use the cart in the capital for this). Having reached the indicated settlement, turn left, go upstairs and talk to Morris, the owner of the local pharmacy. He will tell you about his grandson Roger and ask you to find him – agree to help him.
Important: This mission must be completed in approximately 2-3 in-game days. Otherwise, the child will die, and in the cave you will find only his torn things. For this reason, we do not advise you to take on this quest if you have other urgent matters.
Which townspeople should you talk to about the boy
Before you go looking for Rog, you will need to find out where he was last seen. To do this, you need to chat with three townspeople: Timothy, Yacinta and Alsa. However, it is not necessary to do this – if you know exactly where to look for the boy, then you can immediately head there.
Go down to the place where the cart stands, and along the way talk with Alsa (she usually walks next to blacksmith shop or standing near a well). She will tell you about flowers that collect sunlight and glow at night. They will point to the road along which the child walked.
Go even lower and chat with Timothy in the straw hat, who is standing next to the cart. He will tell you that he saw the boy grabbed by a wolf in the east and carried away.
At the end you will need to chat with Jacinta, who can be either next to the forge, like Alsa, or on the second floor balcony of the local hotel, the entrance to which located next to the well. The pictures below show both locations. From her you will learn that Rog took care of a flower bed located on the outskirts of the city.
How to find Rodzha
If you were able to ask all three residents, a new mark will appear on your map, indicating a lawn with blue flowers next to the cenotaph. If you were unable to find all the townspeople, then you can go to the indicated place yourself – see the screenshots below.
The boy won't be here, so you'll need to go even further east to reach the Putrid Cave. The entire route is shown on the map below. First, cross the wooden bridge to the other side, and then start moving down the road. Be careful, as you will meet an ogre along the way.
Continue going down until you reach a flat area. On the right there will be a waterfall and a small pond. A little to the left of it you will see a passage through which you can go to the other side. Then turn left and go through the arch into a semi-enclosed area. Here, deal with the group of wolves. Then go up a little and enter the cave.
After entering the dungeon, move down the only path, and soon you will see a boy surrounded by wolves. Deal with all the monsters, and then chat with the child. Next, he will begin to follow you, so take him to a safe place and head back to the city.
Rog runs slower than you, so don't switch to sprinting and keep an eye on the boy. If you lose sight of it, you can easily find it by the diamond icon on the mini-map. Sometimes the child may simply freeze in place – in this case, come close to him so that he starts following you again.
When When you reach the city, go to Morris. If he does not react in any way to the arrival of his grandson, then try to contact him several times or grab the child and take him straight to the pharmacy. Then the old man will thank you and give you a reward: 11 thousand gold, 4,000 experience points and 2 miraculous pills.
