Completing the quest “Lasers of a Sorrowful Fate” in Genshin Impact
How to start the quest
It should start automatically immediately after completing the quest “Staircase to the Capitol”. Just look at your mission log and start tracking the desired mission. If it still does not appear, then try logging out of your account, wait 20-30 minutes and re-login.
Defeat Boethius
Move further, following the only path until you find yourself in the arena. Watch the short video and then fight the boss, which is a slightly weakened version of the Marble and Brass Statue. We have a detailed guide about fighting her, so here we will briefly look at the main points.
First of all, we note that this enemy has a strong Geo shield, so Geo damage dealers and fighters using a two-handed sword work best against him. If they are absent, any other well-leveled heroes will do. The boss will also sometimes summon Resonators, which you need to destroy as quickly as possible.
When the enemy's health drops by about a quarter, a cutscene will start. After this, Boethius's shield should fall down – continue to hit him hard. As soon as the life scale drops to 50%, another cut-scene will begin in which you will meet Phobos. At the end, hit the boss a few more times.
Climb to the top floor and play the harp
Watch a short cutscene and activate the platform to ascend to the top floor of the golden palace. Chat with Scylla, and then interact with the harp and play a requiem on it – to do this, you just need to press the Spacebar at the right time.
You will then return to the surface and receive the sixth symphony for the music box called “A Time of Tears” . This will bring the quest and the entire chain to an end. As a reward, you will receive 350 adventure points, 40 primogems, 30 thousand mora, 4 hero books and 4 magic ore enhancements.
