In Honkai: Star Rail Shine, Shine, My Star of Genius is the mission of continuing to master and part of the quest chain “The Crown of Mortal and Divine”, the events of which unfold on the Hertha space station. You will be able to meet the famous researcher Ruan Mei and help her overcome a new crisis. To do this, you will have to defeat the lord of the bugs, Starbreaker: Skarakabaz. Completing the mission “Burn, Shine, My Star of Genius”
How to start the task
Before you can take on this quest, you will need to meet a couple of conditions, namely:
- Reach at least level 24 of Mastery.
- Complete the Conquest mission called “Silence of the Galaxy”, which concludes the Yarilo-VI storyline.
Having dealt with all the above requirements, wait for a message from Gerta to arrive on your phone, which will tell you about Ruan Mei’s arrival at the station. After this you should automatically receive the corresponding mission, so just check your quest log. If this does not happen, then try logging out of your account, wait 20-30 minutes and re-login.
Talk to Gerta and find Ruan Mei
Move to the Main Control Area and go to the bridge. There you will meet Asta and Gerta – chat with them. They don't know where Ruan Mei is now, but Asta will tell her where they can find her.
Teleport to the “Perron” anchor located in the Support Zone, and then run east. Near the station you will find a brilliant scientist. Watch a short video and chat with the girl. She will offer you to try dessert. Even if you refuse, Ruan Mei will still force you to eat it.

Then walk with it along the platform. The researcher will report that she added truth concealment serum to the dessert. She will ask you to help her capture the creatures she created. You will agree.
Get the information and head to the Storage Area
Return to the Main Control Area and go to the southwestern part. Chat there with the Department of Ecology researcher standing near the table. You won't be able to tell him about Ruan Mei, but he will still tell you about the little creatures in the Storage Area.
Move to the “External Control Center Bay (First Floor)” in the indicated area and move to the one marked on zone map. Here you will find a group of people.
Check the noise
Before taking on the main task, you can complete additional goals, such as trying to create life. To do this, interact with the laptop lying on the table. Next, you will need to select the ingredients – you can choose any options, since they do not affect the ending and rewards.
We chose “out of nowhere confidence”, “emotional intelligence” and “Ruan Mei frowns”,  resulting in a copy of live milk with the taste of five nuts. With other options, a piggy bank of space may appear.
Next, you can talk with scientists, inscriptions appear above their heads. Ask them about Ruan Mei or try to say something about her yourself (you won't succeed). This will complete the second optional task.
Now talk to the researchers near the wall on the right. They will tell you about the Cheese Dumpling, which will appear if you leave hearts where Ruan Mei appeared.
Perform the mysterious summoning ritual
Click on the “R” button or on the circle in the lower right corner of the screen and study the instructions for applying graffiti. Then choose a pink or blue heart and draw it on the orange highlighted area. Do this four more times.
Then the creation of Ruan Mei will appear and climb onto the table – interact with it. You can choose any answers, as they will not affect anything.

Go to the northwestern part of the location and examine the toilet installed in the center of the room. Next, you will need to wash away the creature – you can do it smoothly or abruptly (only the dialogues will change).

Go to Gerta's office and talk to the researcher there. She will ask you to take part in a meeting of geniuses. You can immediately agree or say that you need to think about it (if you have other urgent matters).

If you agreed, then go to the quest marker next to the table. Next, you can choose different answers during the dialogue, which will have little effect on anything, so you can say whatever you want.
When the conversation ends and Ruan Mei decides to escort you out of the room, you can stay for a while to chat with Gerta and Skryullum for an optional objective. After a short conversation with the scientist, leave the Virtual Universe.
Get into the Isolated Zone and find the mysterious robot
Teleport to the Atrium anchor (ground floor)” located in the Storage Area, and use the space elevator to get to the Isolated Area. Watch the creepy video.
Next you will need to find the robot you met earlier. To do this, go around the elevator and go to the other side of the location – you will see a drone ahead. Interact with him. You will realize that this is another robot.
Continue searching for clues
Go further along the corridor and open the door. Get on the lift and start going down. Exit the elevator, go forward and turn right. Open the door using the controller and enter the new room. Go down the stairs and go to the monitor that the marker points to.
Move into the next room and go to the sign – look around to find the cute creature Ruan Mei. Talk to him. Now start following the other marker, going down the stairs. Go through the door into the dark corridor.
Be careful, as you will be ambushed by two immature and one corrosive stingers. Their vulnerabilities are indicated in the picture below. They don't pose much of a threat if you choose your characters correctly. Let's add that when they die, they explode, causing damage to their allies, so if you kill one of them, you will most likely destroy the rest of the opponents.
In the open world, these enemies are invisible, however, they can be seen by distortions in the air (shown in the image below). To avoid being ambushed, approach these flashes within 1-2 meters and immediately attack them with your techniques or normal attacks. You will again have to fight with the stingbugs – their vulnerabilities are shown in the screenshot below.
Continue running along the corridor and deal with another group of beetles. Then enter the control room and interact with the computer on the right side. After watching the next recording with Ruan Mei, go through the door next to the anchor and watch another video diary.
Then turn around and go through the next door. Be careful, as you will be immediately attacked by stingbugs (their vulnerabilities are shown below). After the fight, open the door on the left (thus creating a shortcut), and then run right to the next marker. In the spacious room you will find many incubators – go to the ones in the middle. Place the creature you selected earlier there.
