Eternal Amber in Genshin Impact is a character talent leveling resource dropped from the weekly boss of the Sumeru Desert, Apep the Oasis Guardian. It is also possible to craft an item using an alchemy workbench and similar materials. This guide will show you how to get and use Eternal Amber and what characters you need it for.
Where to get Eternal Amber in Genshin Impact
Eternal Amber is one of three special materials that can be obtained from the weekly boss Apep Oasis Guardian. His dungeon is located in the south of the new desert region of the Gavireh Lajavard desert and the kingdom of Farahkert. To open the dungeon, you must meet the following conditions:
- Have an adventure rank of 35.
- Complete chapter 2 of the Nahida legends quest.
Precise boss location will be added on April 12, after the release of update 3.6.
Special resources only drop from 70+ lvlenemy and dungeon levels “Memories: they used to be perfect II-IV too.” As a result of one fight, you will be able to knock out a maximum of 3 such items, and in order to pick up a reward, you will need to give 30 or 60 units. Primordial Resin.

The drop happens randomly, so other boss materials can be earned instead of the coveted amber. In this case, it is useful to recraft the resource on an alchemy workbench: combine Sky-Announcing Fern or Primal Oasis Flower with Dream Dissolver to get the required resource.[
For whom you need Eternal Amber
There are currently no characters in the game that need this resource, but they will appear in the future. Eternal Amber is needed in order to increase the talents of heroes to 7, 8, 9 and 10 levels, for which you will have to spend 1/1/2/2 units of material, respectively. It will take 6 ambers to max out one skill, and to fully upgrade all the character's talents, you will need to accumulate 18 units of material.
