Ring the bells on both sides of the ruins in Genshin Impact – The Menace in the Dark Rift World quest step. The traveler during the mission will have to find the bells that will help dispel the strange black fog. To access them, you will need to solve several puzzles and defeat enemies.
This guide will detail where the bells are located and how to solve the riddles with the help of the fairies and the Adjuvant.
Ring the bells on both sides of the ruins in Genshin Impact
Teleport to the Stone Halls, from where you need to go down to the Nameless Ruins and inspect the fog that has formed. Next to it, find an area highlighted on the ground, also marked with a marker on the map. Approach it, cleanse it with the Adjuvant and read Fatui's diary. After that, dots will appear on the map indicating the location of the two bells.
How to ring the first bell in the north of the Rift
Teleport to the Stone Halls. From there, turn left and go down to the ruined arch. There will be a road to the left of it – turn there and go straight.
After running past the challenge, keep right and enter the tunnel. He will lead to the location of the Unnamed Ruins. After the chest guarded by the hilichurls, keep to the right side and run towards the monument. From it, continue to the right, passing the chest next to the hilichurls and the magician of the Abyss, a waterfall.
Going further along the river on the right side, you will see a tall ruined building on the left – there is a bell.
How to clean dirt from ruin candles
Climb to the top of the building. There are several monuments surrounded by dirt, and light branches. Deal with the Pyro Void Mage: use Hydro or Electro characters to do this, they will bring down the elemental shield faster.
Infuse the branches with energy – for this the Adjuvant must be charged withthree strips of light. After that, stand behind the vine and hit it towards the polluted candles of the ruins. Direct the light energy correctly and clean all the mechanisms in this way.
You can also clean the area yourself – recharge the Adjuvant from fireflies or unlocked monuments nearby, and then remove the pollution.
Black armor will appear and try to interfere. After they attack, the candles of the ruins will be blocked again.
Fight the knights and finish clearing the monuments. After that, approach and hit the bell with an attack to complete the quest step.
How to ring the second bell in the south of the Rift
Travel back to the Stone Halls and move south from the teleporter to the passage below. Go straight through the tunnel to the candle ruins near the cliff. A new waypoint will be visible from there: fly to it.
From the teleporter, a view of the ruined structure will open, the entrance to which is guarded by the automaton Ruin Thresher. Fly up there, fight the guard and move up the left stairs.
How to solve the lantern puzzle
On the floor, you will have to solve a puzzle to open the way to the bell.
After climbing the stairs, run to the left. Reach the monument and fill it with light using the Adjuvant so that it energizes the column nearby.
Move to the right in a clockwise direction. At the next turn, find impurities: remove the accumulation of dirt with the Adjuvant. If there is not enough charge, you can feed it from the previously unlocked monument. Behind the dirt lies a new lamp.
Now move the fairies to those lanterns nearby with whom there is no monument: so they will begin to feed on their energy. Both creatures hover in a circle in different directions when touched.
After that, stand at the last fourth lantern, giving it Adjuvant energy. A precious chest will appear nearby as a reward for solving the puzzle. Take the resources and wind current will be activated. Climb it up.
Where to find the second bell
At the top there will be two more light lanterns, a fairy and a blocked mechanism. Bring the creature to one of the lamps and stand at the other, not illuminated. After that, the mechanism will be unlocked – activate it to remove the grate.
Glide carefully down. Guide the fairy: she will sail to her garden, unlock the chest and feed the Adjuvant with energy. Clear the area of pollution and fight the Ruin Thresher to open the passage to the bell.
When you're done, hit the bell with an attack. The quest step will be completed, and a new mission branch will appear – “Return to the Black Mist”.
