Genshin Impact Molten Fortress is a dungeon with artefacts to increase skill damage and Hydro elements. In Sumeru, there used to be an iron wall, which is the border of the red desert, from which the lord of the hot sun went to drive out demons from the dark mountains. Over time, it was forgotten by people and turned into unknown ruins, just like the golden kingdoms were strewn with quicksand.
In the guide, we will tell you about the location of the Molten Fortress, the conditions for opening the dungeon, and what commands to effectively complete it.
Where the Molten Fortress is located
The Molten Fortress dungeon is located in Gavireh Lajavard on the passage to the location, south of the Temir Mountains.
How to open the Molten Fortress in Genshin Impact

There are no special requirements to open the Molten Fortress. You only need to get to the dungeon and activate the entrance to it for future fast teleportation to the dungeon.
You can open the Molten Fortress on the way to the new area of the Sumeru Desert between the first two teleports, closer to the one to the north. From the road you will see a fork to the east leading up.

If you did not open the dungeon immediately, then head to the second waypoint from the south, Gavireh Lajaward. On the map above it is a kind of bridge. Turn towards the southeast and go towards the red Trial on the dais with the four-leafed symbol. To the left you will see the entrance to the dungeon.
General information about the dungeon
The Molten Fortress dungeon has different levels of difficulty. Depending on the choice, rivals and rewards for successful completion change. The higher the level of the dungeon, the more valuable rewards you can get for 20 units of Primordial Resin or for 1 Thick Resin with double rewards.

The occurrence of the Dendro reaction increases all the heroes in the team elemental mastery by 150 points. The buff lasts 8 seconds and can occur once every 1 second.
Enemies in the Molten Fortress
The level of the dungeon determines the enemies that can be encountered in the dungeon. On the first lvl, only ordinary hilichurls live. From level 2 onwards, outcast hilichurls are added that exist in the new area of the Sumeru Desert.
- Abandoned Stronghold I: Hilichurls (normal, fighter, Hydro and Mitachurl with a fire ax ).
- Abandoned Stronghold II: Hilichurls (Normal, Fighter, Hydro, Grenadier, Anemo Outcast).

Recommended food and potions
A very important source of the buff is food – unlike potions, it can enhance not only elemental damage, but also other characteristics, such as attack, crit chance. hits, healing, etc. Choose food based on what you have problems with: damage or squad defense.

To make battles easier, it is better to use potion buffs that will increase the damage of the characters. They can be crafted at any alchemy table with a small amount of materials. When choosing a potion, you should rely on the heroes of which elements are present in the squad. For example, if the team consists of Pyro and Electro characters, then it is worth getting Pyro and Electro potions. Please note that you cannot strengthen the heroes playing from physical. damage.

Genshin Impact Molten Fortress
Let's share some tips to quickly and comfortably complete the Molten Fortress.
- Build a team on Dendro reactions, choosing Hydro, Electro and Pyro for this element. You can read more about them in our guide.
- Elemental dendro doesn't react in any way to Cryo, Geo, and Anemo, so they don't make much sense. Heroes of these elements can be taken, but for faster clearing, you should not base the squad only on them.
- Among the main damage dealers in the squad, it is worth giving preference to ranged ones in order to quickly deal with rivals. Don't forget about defense as these heroes are usually fragile.
- Because of the rogue Hilichurl Hydro, be careful of Cryo characters that can freeze themselves. Explode the slime in combat to avoid getting caught in the Mist Bubble. The enemy has 50% resistance to Hydro.
- To defeat the Outcast Hilichurla Anemo, you will need to select at least one ranged hero to knock the monster from the air to the ground. Opponent has 50% resistance to Anemo.
