How to Play Cici in Mobile Legends Bang Bang — Cici Guide

Mobile Legends Bang Bang

This guide will teach you how to play Cici, also known as CC, in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Cici is a recent hero who has been surprising players with her effectiveness. While some initially underestimated her, CC can be a powerful S-tier hero in the right hands.

Understanding CiCi’s Role

CiCi is not meant to be a damage hero or super tanky hero. CiCi is purely an annoying hero. What I mean by annoying hero is that you don’t qualify for a one-shot hero or a super tanky hero; you’re meant to just ruin the enemy’s mental and apply pressure to them so they get scared or they are much more easier to screw up and make game-losing mistakes. Instead of comparing her to other dive Fighters like Yu Zhong or Laulau, think of her more as a Uranus or Esmeralda kind of hero. Not going to burst you in one go but it’s definitely faster than you and will win in a prolonged fight through sustained and Mobility.

Understanding CiCi’s Abilities

Passive: Performers Delight: Gives her 75% move speed and spell V per stack up to 10 Stacks. You get one stack by dealing damage, typically with Autos or Yo-Yo Blitz. When achieving Max Stacks, the total effect doubles up to 15% move speed and spell V.

First Skill: Yo-Yo Blitz: Her main source of damage and the base of her entire kit. It deals HP based damage and prioritizes heroes, but keep in mind that it prioritizes the closest target, whether it be minions or heroes.

Second Skill: Buoyant Bounce: A dash that can go over walls. If she dashes on top of an ally or enemy, she will be able to have a smaller Dash in the direction she’s moving towards. It’s an Escape or engage tool, but it does 200 damage at level one, making it a pretty good early game trading tool.

Ultimate Skill: Curtain Call: Throws a link at an enemy hero. When used, the link will attach to another enemy hero nearby, slowing them by 30% and slowly pulling them towards each other. When CC uses Yo-Yo Blitz, it can attack both targets at once instead of its original single target nature. CC will also hit any link Target with a second yo-yo that does decaying damage.

On more shortly:

  • Passive – Performer’s Delight: Grants movement speed and spell vamp based on stacks. Max stacks increase the effects.
  • 1st Skill – Yo-Yo Blitz: Throws a yo-yo that deals HP-based damage to the first target hit. Prioritizes heroes but can target minions.
  • 2nd Skill – Buoyant Bounce: Dashes in a direction, can go over walls. Can be used on allies or enemies for a shorter dash. Useful for escape, engage, and dealing early game damage.
  • Ultimate – Curtain Call: Throws a link at an enemy hero. If it connects to another nearby enemy, both heroes are slowed and pulled together. CC’s yo-yo attacks can hit both linked enemies, dealing decaying damage.

Skill Combos

CC only really has three combos: either 231 for poke, 312 for hard dive, or if you really want the maximum damage combo, one-two-three-one for a longer combo that maximizes all the damage.

Playing Strategies

  • If you want to chip the front line and play it slow, use Curtain Call on the sluggish tank in front and slowly walk in their faces while hitting them with Yo-Yo Blitz.
  • If you want to dive the backline, get full Warax stacks and passive stacks off a minion or jungle camp and try to flank. Use Buoyant Bounce off of them towards the backline and then use Curtain Call on the backline.
  • If you’re alone trying to 1v2 split push or 1v1, split push, you must get full stacks first on minions by playing safe. Even when fed, CC does not do damage without full Warax stacks. Stick on an enemy hero with CC’s insane mid-late game ability.
  • 231: Engage, damage, escape
  • 312: Aggressive dive for low HP enemies
  • 1231: Maximize damage in a teamfight

Countering CC’s Weaknesses

CC struggles with crowd control (CC) and hard burst damage heroes and assassins. To counter CC’s weakness, you need to constantly be in the enemy’s space, so purify can help counter this. Hard defense items are also crucial to mitigate burst damage.

Building CC

Warax will always be your first main item since CC is barely a hero without it. The sustain and bonus damage of Max stacks are necessary for her to function as a hero. Boots are purchased after Warax, and the second main item is either Brute Force or Oracle. Third main item would be a hard defense item depending on the enemy’s team damage. Other items can be chosen based on preference and game situation.

Emblems and Items

  • Emblems: Fighter – Prioritizes spell vamp, defense, and some damage.
  • Items:
    • Core: War Axe (essential for sustain and damage), Boots (choice between Warrior or Magic depending on enemy comp), Brute Force or Oracle (depending on enemy magic damage)
    • Optional: Bloodlust Axe, Blade Armor (not Dominance Ice), Antique Cuirass, Athena’s Shield, Radiant Armor, Immortality, Winter Truncheon
  • Spells: Flicker is more preferred than Sprint due to the short cooldown of Yo-Yo Blitz. Purify is a strong option against heavy CC comps.

Matchup Tips

  • Struggles Against: Crowd Control (ironically!), Burst Damage Heroes, Early Game Assassins
  • Counters: Build defense early against strong enemies. Consider buying Purify.

Gameplay Example

A video commentary will be included to show how the concepts from this guide are applied in a real match. The video will highlight:

  • Playing against a counter matchup (Dyrroth)
  • Using different skill combos depending on the situation
  • Making decisions based on the map awareness

Conclusion

By understanding Cici’s playstyle, skills, and how to use them effectively, you can become a dominant force on the battlefield. Remember to practice and adapt your strategies based on the enemy team and in-game situations.
